People in my area of the Midwest don't do that.
@@odayakanakonton THAT would be southern Illinois and Indiana.
@@odayakanakonton Sweetie of course we do. Now be a dear and pick up yer mom something nice and don't forget to call your uncle Robert about the mower.
I didn’t know I needed this until i saw it
"I'm going to live in your head forever" ! LOL! You looked so FREAKED out!🤣🤪😱
That catch at 0:26 to 0:27 was so satisfying I had to keep rewatching it.
This is lowkey very wholesome and uplifting
Love it, and love seeing Myles too! I think we need another Husbands of Target/Neighborhood video again soon!
I live in Ashwaubenon and it is amazing how many times you need to repeat it to someone on the phone, or having to pronounce it for someone who sees it spelled out but not said. Even worse is Oconomowoc.
Menomonie wasn't so bad, but has it's issues as well. Like, telling folks not from here to be careful to spell it right or they'll get the MI one, or Menomonie Falls or somethin. Funny thing is that my mom is from Milwaukee & by the time she was an adult ( and moved here as a teacher ) her parents had moved out to the family lake home on Lake 5 ( Colgate, WI ) - nearest real town is ( or was ) Menomonie Falls.
Lots of native names near me in Ohio, too, that flubber people up. :D Pataskala, Geauga, Cuyahoga, Tuscarawas, etc.
@Nancy Hollo haha...that one should be easy!
I grew up near Oconomowoc so that one isn't even a problem. Can even spell it without looking it up.
People have trouble with Ocono? It's just like it sounds, with all O's - I could see people getting confused about the vowels following the n or m, because we say them as a schwa, but not much else.
As a minnesotan, this is so relatable LMAO
Grandma saying you better not screw it up - Hilarious. Loved this video
I'm not even from America and I nearly choked from laughing 😂😂😂😂
edit: don't eat cake while watching hilarious videos
I'm Aussie but I still want the Sheryl.
Oh, my, you really need to visit Wisconsin to learn that this is not an act - this is how we are. Hope you're able to someday.
@@gillrowley7264 mate if you are this adorable I'd love to.
@@miboogaroo Flattered, but it's Gill with a hard G, not like Gillian. I'm a guy. :-) but you can still come to Wisconsin. I'll be your guide.
@@gillrowley7264 mate I wasn't assuming anyone's gender 🤗. More a general statement...Just this guys portrayal makes you all sound adorable.
I'm a midwesterner and I've been to Australia, let me tell you. Aussies and Midwesterners go together like peanut butter and marshmallow fluff.
Fav detail: muddling for old fashions instead of smashing da phone
Betcha someone bought him that muddler cuz they were afraid he'd get his buck knife rusty. Ope, nope, he already had that muddler back in March. Surprised it's lasted this long. They're only wood, ya know. Indispensable, though.
Can not get a good old fashion anywhere but up nort
I wish we had Kwik Trip in Michigan! I miss Glazers, Dunkers, and my Big Buddy! Oh yeah, milk bags, too!
They're getting one in the UP. It's currently going to through the process of out of state business n such
I've never been more than a couple of days in in the upper Midwest, but I love how somehow I can still understand Charlie's skits. 😁 Bless you sir.
Too funny, I loved it. Would definitely use Sheryl
Hey Charlie, how ya doin? Love seeing your Grandma, Sharon did the right thing calling your Grandma, she knows best, have a great day and tell your Grandma I says "hi"!
My family along the west of the Rockies:
“Son, when did you start speaking like you where from Wisconsin?”
Me: “ope”
The kwik trip comment is insanely accurate
I moved to NY over a decade ago. I miss Kwik Trip.
I moved to Georgia and frequently think of Kwik trip everytime i get gas. They have no real chains down here and they are bare bones when it comes to selection.
Love in Central Wisconsin. The Kwik Trip comment was the only one that actually applied to me. But oh man, I do love kwik trip.
Best monopoly in the area
I live a few miles outside a medium -sized metro area, and the KwikTrip is the only thing nearby that resembles a grocery store.
Growing up in Minnesota. YUP. On point.
I know this is a late comment, but this had me laughing. We need one of those for East Texas/NW La. It could be Billie Sue or Bobby Wayne and would understand things like, "What's that place that sells boudin in Natchitoches?" or "Where can I buy a hog trap locally?" or "Is the snake that just fell in my boat on Lake Bistineau a cottonmouth or just a water-snake?"
"Dialing 911, you're having a stroke." 💯✨🥇
This is actually a really good app.
...
Ohh, never mind.
That ending took a super dark twist.
Just saw a clip of this on WGN and almost spit out my tea! Hurried over to watch and subscribe.
I have Alexa and I curse her out daily! Lol Thanks Charlie...you've made my day.
After living in Colorado, Oregon, and now Washington with my late husband's job transfers....I miss my native homeland more all the time.
ON WISCONSIN!
YA YOU BETCHA..........NOWHERE COMPARES WITH THE MOTHERLAND!!WISCONSIN!!!
It's almost time for Lent and Friday Fish Fries!! I sure am displaced out here in the hinterlands!!!
I don't live in the Midwest, but I would GLADLY get a digital assistant as smart as Sheryl!! 😍
Best Line... Mick Approved! "With Sheryl, you don't always get what you want. But you just might find you get what you need". LMAO! 😂🤣
"The terms and conditions" at the end got me rolling good!!! What a good laugh! Thanks
Tears in my eyes! 😂 The. Best. One. Yet. Charlie!
Oh gosh! Sheryl Lizinski - I mighta gone to junior high with her. Makes me miss home a little. And a great laugh too!
Classic ! Love it! The accuracy is uncanny.
I was born in MN and lived there 50 years until I moved out of state 2 years ago. This is perfect! "Grandma Sue"
I've been watching Midwest Translator every few days for the last couple months, and this is just what I needed to scratch that same itch. And that turn into a horror movie at the end was a real nice twist!
Enjoying an old fashion watching this.
Thanks for the laugh. I've lived in Colorado for so long that most of my Midwestern accent has disappeared, but then I talked to a friend back there the other day and was amused to see that my friend, originally from the East Coast, now sounds very much like a Midwesterner.
Dear Charlie, you have no idea how soothing and comforting your humour is, in this world that at the moment makes me feel like the world is so unkind. Im learning so much about the midwest that I like! Liana from Australia
I love it that it calls family and friends for answers. That's exactly what we used to have to do all the time! It kept us connected with a strong network. I think this is a great app feature which should be developed.
