It is nice to explore BTS with others like you. Someone who is open minded, and is not afraid of subtitles. English is not my first language and I learned the language through watching movies with subtitles. Young people like you is the future 💜 Personally, I thought V's voice was best displayed in some of his more "jazzy", "soul", and "neo-soul" genre like SINGULARITY and STIGMA. I now that Jin and JK are extremely strong performers, vocal wise. But I thought Jimin and V are some of the MOST UNIQUE vocals I have ever encountered in my 52 years of life. I listen to multiple genre of music, and generally am not a fan of pop or kpop with very few exceptions. The rap line and dance line were the first to attract my attention. But V and Jimin stood out from the start for me.
I was just a little upset that someone told him to do winter bear from V instead Stigma or singularity. Theres nothing wrong with winter bear, its just that its almost 90% just instrumental and doesnt really showcase his vocals. Its suppost be more emotional.. hopefully we hear something next time..😔

Jimin does sing with a higher voice. So yes that was Jimin's real singing voice. His speaking voice is slightly lower. He is a fabulous singer and an even better dancer. Yes that is our Angel Jimin's sweet voice!I love each of their voices separately as well as them together! They each add their "flavor to the soup" so to speak. Including the rappers! Now J-Hope also has a beautiful singing voice & JK can also rap..stuff you learn as you venture along with them. I love their song Fire! It gets me moving & is basically them leaving youth, going into adulthood & telling others to not let things bother you!

Suga/Agust D. - Daechwita is music played while marching to announce that the Emperor's presence. RM/Wale - This track is very RM; his work tends to be either self-reflective or about society in some way. J-Hope - Chicken Noodle Soup the original means a lot to him. He released this song for free on soundcloud & paid 2M to the original artist to do it. I think it really shows his personality, especially with the behind the scenes snip at the end. Jimin - Yes that is really his voice. Check out "Serendipity", its another Jimin solo or for a different genre try "Filter". The 1st has a MV. That was a fan video, it doesn't have an official MV. Jin & Jimin - This was also a fan video; another video without an official MV. I believe I understand what you were getting at with how they're different. Jin's voice is fuller, but they are both able to express & draw out emotion. V/Taehyung - I wish you'd have chosen a different song of his. Winter Bear is ok, but Singularity or Inner Child would have been better. The 1st has a MV. Also the video for Winter Bear you chose wasn't the full track. Jungkook - The video with the song "Euphoria" has a lot of details about the BU or BTS Universe. They are impossibly good, every single one of them and your reaction reminded me of how confused I felt when I began to realise that my daughter had been so right for so long! What a great way to start the deep dive. 😃👍 Everyone could write an essay to every solo song you did in this video. I pick just one member out and although J-Hope is my bias (the one of the seven guys I feel a tiny tiny bit more connected with) it is Jin! Jin is the one I felt less connected with in my first weeks becoming a fan of BTS. But with every BTS song I did, with every solo or cover song of him and getting to know his personality and the immens effort and passion he put into his singing and music skills better and better...he is outstanding to me! He has a very special emotionality that gets me with every song. His own song "Tonight" and the cover song "Mom" brings me to tears. I love how you appreciate every single one of them and yes, every one of them could carry the whole group, you nailed it... and together they are terrific and carry many millions of fans through their lifes. BTS is a group. As someone new to BTS, you should watch BTS MVs and performances where they are performing together. Many solo stans or ppl that have biases may influence you to watch solos, to develop a bias to only like one member. BTS has always said, “we hope you like all members equally”.
But one way to get to know BTS is by getting to know their individual styles. Each of them bring something different to the table and appreciating their talents as individuals isn't a bad thing. I am OT7 and I listen to their solo tracks as much as I listen to their group music, it's all excellent music.

You are SO RIGHT - language does not matter with excellent music. Just be open-minded and give it a chance. Literally most of the rest of the world enjoys American music without understanding English. Beat, melody, cadence is what carries a song. When it comes to the vocal line I can’t choose a favorite because, like you said, their voices are all so different but all so so good. I love all their voices equally. When it comes to the rap line I can’t choose either because just like the vocal line they all have their own style and I don’t consider one better than rhe other. BTS is one group but all 7 of them are so unique and have their own style which makes their discography as BTS so diverse as well. They need each other as a team but still perform so well individually.

My son is a freshman in high school and has to hide the fact he loves BTS because he is teased for it. People are cruel and love to do pact mentality...they cant think for themselves so they follow others who do stupid stuff and make fun of someone for their likes. For the first 6 months after I discovered BTS I hid the fact that I was a fan. Mainly because when I was growing up I was kind of a "punching bag" for people so to speak, if they wanted to appear acceptable to others they avoided things that I liked. So basically if I was into something it was automatically weird or unusual. And I figured being a 36 year old liking a group of young Korean guys would stir up the stigma. But as we all know BTS are always trying to get us to find what makes us special, so now after listening to them I don't care, now everyone knows how much I like them. I wish your son the best, and hope his life will be full of others who accept him as himself. It's difficult being young.

Bts had 4 sold out concert in l.A 2021 nov, and the are going back to America in April this year to attend Grammy and 4 sold out Stadium concert in las Vegas, Bts have 6 nr songs at Billboard 100 and 5 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200 the also have won Billboard Top Social Award 5 years in a row, and the also won 3 Awards at Ama Best Group Best Song Butter and Artist Off The Year.
V has much better songs that shows off his voice. He is a Baritone and Soulful singer that has widest range (he can sing very low and very high notes). Stimga Live video (will show his range) or Singularity MV or Live. Nothing wrong with the Wale collab, it's a good song. But it's not really RM's own solo song. Also, try Singularity by V. It's a neo-soul type of song, very special in the BTS discography. RM wrote Singularity specifically for V to sing. Also, in case you didn't know, JHope paid $2.7 million to the original artist to re-make Chicken Noodle Soup. And released his own version FOR FREE. He did it just to pay homage to his own hiphop dancing roots, as CNS was one of the first songs he danced to when he started learning as a kid. All 3 rappers spent millions of dollars to make their rap solo work and released all their mixtape songs for free. Some rapline songs like Ddaeng were also released as free songs. (rapline songs are rap songs done by the 3 rappers together).

Not the earliest, but as an ARMY and I have been for years, if you watch and learn about bts I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Also ignore are the toxic Stan’s, some of them try to mean well, but there are those who are extremely toxic and we don’t fw them 😂 jungkook is my bias and suga is my bias wrecker, you might not know what that means, but if you learn about bts and other idol groups or solo artists you will 😂😂
Loved the songs you chose especially Change with Wale and RM is still so relevant even 4 years later, we need Change (right now in South Korea they just elected a super conservative president who is very toxic and it’s worrying times we need solidarity to bring change). BTS, the rapline especially, have always talked about social issues and that’s what sets them above the standard kpop and boy bands, along with their talent. How often do you see a group where everyone has this much talent and doesn’t fight over who is in the spotlight and who meshes this many styles so well. That’s down to RMs leadership and the family like love as brothers they have for each other. Supporting and encouraging solo work makes them stronger instead of tearing them apart.
I agree with you I listen to all types of music, that includes non English music, films and series. I've done that since I was a child. Therefore I'm used to subtitles and it helps to learn another language at the same time. Growing up listening to different genre's and different languages just gives one a broader outlook on life. I think we miss out when we say I don't understand it so I won't listen/watch to it. Being open minded allows us to discover new and interesting things. There's always translations and subtitles to assist us.

Personally, I thought V's voice was best displayed in some of his more "jazzy", "soul", and "neo-soul" genre like SINGULARITY and STIGMA. I now that Jin and JK are extremely strong performers, vocal wise. But I thought Jimin and V are some of the MOST UNIQUE vocals I have ever encountered in my 52 years of life. I listen to multiple genre of music, and generally am not a fan of pop or kpop with very few exceptions. The rap line and dance line were the first to attract my attention. But V and Jimin stood out from the start for me.
I was just a little upset that someone told him to do winter bear from V instead Stigma or singularity. Theres nothing wrong with winter bear, its just that its almost 90% just instrumental and doesnt really showcase his vocals. Its suppost be more emotional.. hopefully we hear something next time..😔

Yes that is our Angel Jimin's sweet voice!I love each of their voices separately as well as them together! They each add their "flavor to the soup" so to speak. Including the rappers! Now J-Hope also has a beautiful singing voice & JK can also rap..stuff you learn as you venture along with them. I love their song Fire! J-Hope - Chicken Noodle Soup the original means a lot to him. He released this song for free on soundcloud & paid 2M to the original artist to do it. I think it really shows his personality, especially with the behind the scenes snip at the end.
Jimin - Yes that is really his voice. Check out "Serendipity", its another Jimin solo or for a different genre try "Filter". The 1st has a MV. That was a fan video, it doesn't have an official MV.
Jin & Jimin - This was also a fan video; another video without an official MV. I believe I understand what you were getting at with how they're different. Jin's voice is fuller, but they are both able to express & draw out emotion.
V/Taehyung - I wish you'd have chosen a different song of his. Winter Bear is ok, but Singularity or Inner Child would have been better. The 1st has a MV. Also the video for Winter Bear you chose wasn't the full track.
Jungkook - The video with the song "Euphoria" has a lot of details about the BU or BTS Universe. Its a storyline that ran through a bunch of their MVs & had teasers/hints via small notebooks, intermissions/intros during the performances, short films, etc. There's a lot to unpack there. What a great way to start the deep dive. 😃👍 Everyone could write an essay to every solo song you did in this video. I pick just one member out and although J-Hope is my bias (the one of the seven guys I feel a tiny tiny bit more connected with) it is Jin! Jin is the one I felt less connected with in my first weeks becoming a fan of BTS. But with every BTS song I did, with every solo or cover song of him and getting to know his personality and the immens effort and passion he put into his singing and music skills better and better...he is outstanding to me! He has a very special emotionality that gets me with every song. His own song "Tonight" and the cover song "Mom" brings me to tears.

BTS is a group. As someone new to BTS, you should watch BTS MVs and performances where they are performing together. Many solo stans or ppl that have biases may influence you to watch solos, to develop a bias to only like one member. BTS has always said, “we hope you like all members equally”.

But one way to get to know BTS is by getting to know their individual styles. Each of them bring something different to the table and appreciating their talents as individuals isn't a bad thing. I am OT7 and I listen to their solo tracks as much as I listen to their group music, it's all excellent music.

Jhope (Hoseok) was a national street dancer who excels in freestyling which most kpop idols are just awful at, since he actually came from a professional street dancer background.
You are SO RIGHT - language does not matter with excellent music. Just be open-minded and give it a chance. Literally most of the rest of the world enjoys American music without understanding English. Beat, melody, cadence is what carries a song. I absolutely love BTS' music, and think the Korean language is beautiful and slaps HARD in rap. And I only understand English.

you should react to daechwita explained by dkdktv theyre koreans who explain bts songs and other artists songs to non korean speakers.
rm and wale are amazing duo weve been waiting for another collab for years they actually posted about each other yesterday RM posted one of wales songs on his instagram story and wale tweeted about it. i hope they collab again soon.
jhope learned how to dance at a very young age and he said one of the first songs he learned to dance to was the original chicken noodle soup and becky had grown up with the song too thats why they decided to do a cover/remake. they paid the original artists for the rights to the song as well and released the song for free. the dancers are from a group of dancers called The Lab and theyve worked with bts many times theyre really close with them. theyve done, bts song On and i think some of them performed at bts concerts and possibly toured to Europe in 2019 before covid for bts world tour. you should check out becky g's music too its really good she sings in spanish a lot shes really big in latin america.
promise is jimins first solo song that he wrote and produced himself its very special to him and to armys. and yes thats his real voice his voice is very unique.
jin is known as silver voice he makes you feel whatever emotion hes going for that song is very personal to him as well he wrote it when he was feeling burnt out and it helped him through his struggles.
winter bear was one of V's first solo songs and he also directed the music video and shot it himself. he has such a soulful voice but can also hit very high notes he made the video when they toured Europe and the u.s. that one always seems to get partially blocked for some reason we dont know why though.
euphoria the song is by jungkook but the music video is part of bts storyline which is why it was very confusing. you would have to see all the music videos before it to understand the video. it also wasnt the entire song in the video. love jungkooks voice so much hes the main vocalist of bts all of the singers are great but he is labeled at the main vocalist and has the most parts in vocal focused songs unless they decide on a different member to be more in that song.
bts write and produce all their music themselves with some help from their in house team and sometimes outside help from other writers and producers but all decisions are done by the 7 of them if they decide not to do something then it doesnt happen no one controls their music people add ideas and they decide whether to do it or not.
black swan is about their fear of losing their passion for music whether its performing, writing, producing etc its based off the quote a dancer dies twice and the first death is the more painful by martha graham.
in the video you see many shadows and that ties into their overall theme for the map of the soul album which is based on carl jungs theories about persona, shadow and ego all being part of the self basically you have to accept all parts of yourself to actually know your true self.

When it comes to the vocal line I can’t choose a favorite because, like you said, their voices are all so different but all so so good. I love all their voices equally.
When it comes to the rap line I can’t choose either because just like the vocal line they all have their own style and I don’t consider one better than rhe other.
BTS is one group but all 7 of them are so unique and have their own style which makes their discography as BTS so diverse as well. They need each other as a team but still perform so well individually.

People are cruel and love to do pact mentality...they cant think for themselves so they follow others who do stupid stuff and make fun of someone for their likes. For the first 6 months after I discovered BTS I hid the fact that I was a fan. Mainly because when I was growing up I was kind of a "punching bag" for people so to speak, if they wanted to appear acceptable to others they avoided things that I liked. So basically if I was into something it was automatically weird or unusual. And I figured being a 36 year old liking a group of young Korean guys would stir up the stigma. But as we all know BTS are always trying to get us to find what makes us special, so now after listening to them I don't care, now everyone knows how much I like them.

Bts had 4 sold out concert in l.A 2021 nov, and the are going back to America in April this year to attend Grammy and 4 sold out Stadium concert in las Vegas, Bts have 6 nr songs at Billboard 100 and 5 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200 the also have won Billboard Top Social Award 5 years in a row, and the also won 3 Awards at Ama Best Group Best Song Butter and Artist Off The Year.

Thanks for the reaction! Hope in the future you can pick an RM song that is from his own mixtapes that he wrote and produced himself, his solo songs showcase himself more. Nothing wrong with the Wale collab, it's a good song. But it's not really RM's own solo song.
Also, try Singularity by V. It's a neo-soul type of song, very special in the BTS discography. RM wrote Singularity specifically for V to sing.
Also, in case you didn't know, JHope paid $2.7 million to the original artist to re-make Chicken Noodle Soup. And released his own version FOR FREE. He did it just to pay homage to his own hiphop dancing roots, as CNS was one of the first songs he danced to when he started learning as a kid.
All 3 rappers spent millions of dollars to make their rap solo work and released all their mixtape songs for free.
Some rapline songs like Ddaeng were also released as free songs. (rapline songs are rap songs done by the 3 rappers together).

Not the earliest, but as an ARMY and I have been for years, if you watch and learn about bts I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Also ignore are the toxic Stan’s, some of them try to mean well, but there are those who are extremely toxic and we don’t fw them 😂 jungkook is my bias and suga is my bias wrecker, you might not know what that means, but if you learn about bts and other idol groups or solo artists you will 😂😂
Loved the songs you chose especially Change with Wale and RM is still so relevant even 4 years later, we need Change (right now in South Korea they just elected a super conservative president who is very toxic and it’s worrying times we need solidarity to bring change). BTS, the rapline especially, have always talked about social issues and that’s what sets them above the standard kpop and boy bands, along with their talent. How often do you see a group where everyone has this much talent and doesn’t fight over who is in the spotlight and who meshes this many styles so well. That’s down to RMs leadership and the family like love as brothers they have for each other. Supporting and encouraging solo work makes them stronger instead of tearing them apart.
I agree with you I listen to all types of music, that includes non English music, films and series. I've done that since I was a child. Therefore I'm used to subtitles and it helps to learn another language at the same time. Growing up listening to different genre's and different languages just gives one a broader outlook on life. I think we miss out when we say I don't understand it so I won't listen/watch to it. Being open minded allows us to discover new and interesting things.
There's always translations and subtitles to assist us.

Actually I speak Arabic and I listen to English and I'm almost fluent so getting into Korean group was not that hard because I didn't think about the language differences Actually sometimes songs in other languages are mostly about girls and such so you don't really look at the subtitles but with Bts it's different if you don't look at the lyrics you are missing out half of the experience
Bts made me understand rap I was never someone who is into it I'm more of vocal person so my fav is jungkook he is skilled he has the perfect pitch in any situation he can slay the vocals also a character you can point him out just with his sleeve tattoos and lots of piercing btw
