Yeah, I’m not sure why you guys were all the sudden waffling on Patterson. Granted, he’s not the second coming of Jacob Cowing…yet. But he’s a contributor when he gets the ball, and despite his size, he fights for extra yards
This offensive staff has been utterly miserable. I went back and watched the game, they hardly EVER run routes between 3 and 10 yards down the field. EVERYTHING is 15+ yards. Literally no mid-range passing game. Additionally, the running game was good against TT, Conley ran for 6.9 per carry and they only gave it to him 14 times and had Noah throw it 49 times. They have absolutely no feel or rhythm on offense and it is almost all play calling. When they do throw a short route (barely ever) it almost always goes for 5-8 yards at least. No quick outs, no quick slants outside of TMac. Everything is slow developing (don't get me started on the delayed handoffs) and everything is "everyone get open." This teams offensive identity should be grinding out possessions. Lots of 2 TE sets, use Kayden Luke, and run, run, run. Then use short quick routes. Every time they try and get a few yards here, a few yards there, they basically get what they want. Every time they try and put Noah in shotgun and let him sling it, it goes nowhere unless it is a bailout from TMac. It is mindboggling how this staff doesn't know how to run this offense. It almost feels like this staff is trying to lose games. It is absolutely embarrassing what they have shown thus far.

Scheer: creamer in soda is stupid and juvenile. It's a fabricated cocktail so Mormons can have a special drinkie. Luke, you touted Chubba in the preseason. There is no way a guy that overweight can play in today's game. Stanley T is smallish, but he is definitely quick off the ball. Stewart is not ready, and needs 20 lbs of muscle. I just don't understand. Leaf has inertia. Running backs good. But Arizona could have used the home run ability of Croskey Merritt. It's not DNA evidence. Administration should have been all over this months ago.
