Brings back a memory of a trip I took on the tramway about 20 years ago, we left the bottom station on a very hot summerrs day temps up in 30's got the half way station ok, but as we went towards the top stion the temp began to fall, and soon we a had a blinding snow storm to face, every body huddled together inn the ends of the cars. on the way back down, as we got lower the snow stopped and the temp. rose again. A unforgetable trip
Wales is stunning. It reminds me of the place I just came back from, southeastern Poland, and the hills/mountains called Bieszczady. I know it's impossible to pronounce. We plan to go to Wales next year. Thanks to Kevin, I can hardly wait! 😊🏞🏴

The passing loop of the upper section is very interesting because each tram changes with its wheels the position of the point encountered when it leaves the passing loop, this in order to enter the same track when going back. In order to check the regular position of the point before entering the passing loop, the driver of the tram number 6 is looking for the white disc with the figure 6 applied to the lever of the point and the driver of the tram number 7 is looking for the white disc with the figure 7. This ingenious system reveals that the points designed by the Swiss designer Carl Roman Abt are absolutely useless in order to enter a passing loop. Many single track funiculars in Switzerland, Italy, Germany and so on have Abt points, but in order to have the cabins circulating on such points, they have to be provided with wheels with two flanges on a side and without flanges on the other side
Absolutely breathtaking! The view from the top of the mountain is truly a masterpiece of nature's beauty. The sweeping landscapes and the serene atmosphere make it a mesmerizing experience. Mother Nature at her finest!

I visited Llandudno a few times a year because my Grandparents lived in and ran the Kings head for decades. The beer garden looked different then.
