Now I'm just guessing here based on the info given in the episode (I'm anime only so I'm trying my best to catch everything lol). But the thing is that Viole is not only trying to pass the tests of the 20th floor, he's also trying to pass the FUG slayer candidate test.
As Love said in the episode, from his experience with a previous FUG slayer candidate (Karaka is the name he mentioned), the FUG slayer candidate test can be passed by fulfilling 1 of 3 conditions:
- Killing a specified Regular.
- Helping a Regular pass the exam (here I don't know if just 1 or multiple or if it has to be a specified Regular that the FUG testers choose for you).
- Making everyone else fail and only the slayer candidate passing the floor test.
Seems like Viole is choosing (if it is possible to choose, maybe the FUG testers choose which one they want you to fulfill) the last option and I guess he's going to try sticking by it as much as possible.
