Hi Mark, Ive been watching your channel for a while now and I have to say you beat our local dealer hands down, Im a first time Caravaner so still learning so Im picking up a lot of info, nicely done 👍
I've noticed that all your caravan handbrakes are on , my service guy advised me to leave it off , once the steadies are down , do your brake's not seize up
Yes, hopefully we don't have them on long, we will make sure the caravans are moved every couple of weeks so as long as they are not on for more than 4 weeks you should be fine. Unfortunately not all our pitch is level so we have health and safety to deal with.
Hi Mark , did you manage to fix the shower door on the swift 560 , I'm interested in how adjust it as I'm having the same trouble with mine , it was fine last year , this is my 1st outing this year and seems to be sticking, thanks Barry.
Review for them are terrible pal and it's a very limited market.... that would be my guess. I looked at getting one for a while but the forums were awash with 'damp' issues from owners
There's a whole Basecamp sub culture, where everything in their world is orange, though Swift have toned down the orange on the latest versions. A lot of damp complaints, but a lot of people that adore them too and there are specialist websites with BC focussed aftermarket accessories. Mark's one has one of the factory fit non-standard exterior decal decorations which may not be to everyone's taste. Though given the Coronation next weekend you'd think some Royalist would have grabbed it to promote their attachment. Maybe Mark should offer to tow it through London in the Coronation cortege.
It's a bit early in the season for them, they are very much a summer outdoor living caravan, so next month or so and it will be hard to find any about then, that's the theory any way lol
Hi great videos enjoying the tips. We recently had our cvan serviced and the hitch was regreased like you mentioned. Out of interest does this improve towing feel? As I felt it towed much better after the service.
@@thecaravanplace that’s a shame I’ve just purchased a used lunar quasar 564 but seems in very good condition. Enjoying your videos and advice. Thank you 😊
I suggest you need to be careful as I'm noticing some good positive videos (e.g. the shower tray fix) BUT the bias appears to be towards quick walk through of vans you have in stock i.e. "sales" and the tip is squashed in at the end? Hopefully this is fair feedback?
Hi Doug, unfortunately we are a business and still need to sell caravans, we will always try to do helpful video's, but if we don't sell caravans we aren't able to do the video's. It's tricky to get the balance. 👍

Glad to hear, thanks Andy
Very good tips again Mark.👍🇫🇮
Thanks 👍
Love all the tips Mark 👍
Thanks Rob. 👍
Thanks again Mark, great tip about the grease nipples , 👍👍.
Nice tip thanks
Thanks Richard 👍
I've a different hitch to this my van do you have to undo the grease nipple to fill ?

I agree never leave my brake on when in storage

Loving these videos bud! I’d love to have a small sales pitch myself :)
👍
If you push the damper in should it come out by itself? Our one stays in until I pull it out. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Yes it should come out, have done a bit on it on Sunday video of how it should be and how to possibly fix too. 👍
@@thecaravanplace thanks mate I’ve ordered a new Damper now but it’ll be good to see your info too. In 15 years never had one fail lol
Looked to me like the Luna had Alde heating Mark?
IIRC Clubman were Lunar's top range and had Alde heating. Time flies, it's 3.5 years since Lunar packed up.
Well spotted 👍

I will try to do a video, it's the top screws and then just adjustment till its working OK. Will see what I can do video wise.
Just watched your latest video Mark,is the grease you used for the hitch a special grease ? Enjoy your videos
Most lithium grease for a grease gun will be fine. 👍
It seems that you keep the hitches in the upright position on your vans - is this something I should do when not using the van?
Doesn't make any difference really, it's just that we have normally moved the caravans so they will be still up. 👍
You like my dealer have had that Base Camp for ages don’t they sell or what’s wrong with them?

Is there any specific grease you should put in the grease gun ?
Any lithium based grease will do the job. 👍

It can make a bit of difference to towing but not huge, it could be a combination of this and tyre pressure though possibly.
Nice video! Whats the situation with lunar are they still trading?
They have gone unfortunately

Not sure what’s going on with this video, voice is left channel. Distracting on headphones 😊
We used the old go pro sorry. Never realised until it had gone out sorry.
Must be the oddest thing for a sales person to do, hide stock so people don't buy it!! 🤭😀 so inconvenient when everyone wants to buy your stock!!!😂
It's terrible 🤣🤣🤣
