Jennifer, you are truly a teacher of the future. The way you prepare your lessons is so dynamic and proactive-it makes a huge difference. Your innovative approach keeps everything engaging and inspiring, and it's clear how much thought you put into making sure your students are motivated and learning effectively. You're amazing at what you do!
The highlight of my last trip to Europe a year ago was being able to communicate with native English speakers. It was amazing!!! It really made me feel happy.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks! LET'S GO! Listening exercise 1: 1) Did you break it to him? 2) Cut it out, would you? 3) You gotta kick it up a notch. 4) Don't let him get to you! 5) What are you looking at? Score: 5/5. Exercise 2: 1) Whatever she dishes out, you can give it right back double. 2) We're all just muddling through, aren't we? 3) I'm excited to nerd out on it. (I like to nerd out on different kinds of things, like science, green technology, nature protection, cars, IT, and current interesting news. As for the English language, I'd love to nerd out on useful idioms and phrasal verbs). 4) Of course I'll stick around. 5) Wash up for dinner, guys! 6) Now make sure if you leave, you lock up the house. 7) And while he was yammering on about whatever. 8) They've been mouthing off to me. 9) Yeah, but I maxed out my credit card. 10) I'm ??? on carbs. (I know that "load up on" expression, but the guy said it so quickly, that it simply went over my head). Score: 9/10. Exercise 3: 1) nerd out on 2) muddle through 3) mouthing off 4) maxed out 5) dishing it out 6) stick around 7) washing up 8) lock up 9) yammers on 10) load up on. Score: 10/10. Exercise 4: I have to give credit when credit's due: graduating from university at an age of 12 is a fantastic accomplishment! I raise my hat to her! I believe that girl will go far. That girl has healthy self-esteem, which is a good personality trait. For example, if you are having a hard time, believing in yourself helps you to cope with it. Preconceived notions (biases) are negative feelings that are worth getting rid of. In the last few years, I've made only short trips but the highlights of my trips further away in general, to name a few, were: 1) Bangkok - its magnificent architecture and hustle and bustle, 2) A trip to South Eastern Asia's remote village with old-fashioned canoes and having lunch there, 3) Many European cities breathtaking, brilliant architecture, its ancient cellar restaurants, and its cozy, welcoming atmosphere. To answer your questions: I'm left-handed "lefty". When writing, it would be more convenient to be right-handed, so then, the back of your hand doesn't get smeared. I'm interested in studying English, dancing Latin-American dances (to be precise - I'm looking forward to picking it back up again), going for a stroll, and watching reality TV shows and different kinds of documents. There are funny idioms in the English language which mean "be in charge": Rule the roost and wear the pants/trousers. All of these exercises are useful. Exercises 1,2, and 3 were my favorites.
Hoping that someday I could understand very well English phrases, idioms through hearing with Mam Jennifer Forest video teaching, thanks a bunch Mam...
