Everything that Qian was telling to San Pang was not something that Yuan didn’t know or couldn’t even imagine. And as someone who has been following Qian since he was a little kid, one that made the decision to go to him, to walk through that extended staircase, even if the teen asked him not to follow, he wanted to be the one who was caught, that’s why when Qian decided to grab his arm, Yuan told him, “This is the first time you’ve ever caught me” and you can see how hopeful he was and for Yuan, it really felt like the first time Qian was looking right into his eyes, which is why he dragged him to their house and again, when he saw the man hesitating, he did what needed to be done. He cornered Qian, not because he was forcing the man to confess what he really wanted, but because he saw something else in those eyes and he knew he could go for more and even if he had the man against the wall, he asked him for permission to be everything to him and with a little head shake and the softest “Ok” Qian accepted to be with him and something I love is that Qian was accepting while being against the wall he used to measure both Lili and Yuan’s height and now he’s really conscious of wanting to be with the boy who grew taller than him 🥺 and Yuan wanted Qian to decide to be in a romantic relationship with him, not out of fear or guilt, not because he felt like he has some sort of responsibility over Yuan’s feelings, the boy just wanted Qian to fully be in love with him, because he has sorted his feelings out and was craving for the same. But a little push doesn’t hurt anyone, so, well played Wei Zhi Yuan. You were able to finally live your fantasies and w€t dreams for real 🤭 that boy has such an interesting personality, he’s a menace 😉

Also, the scene where Qian learns that Lili is pregnant, he went to look for his knife at the end 🤣 the office literally shipping them, the head pat from Yuan treating Qian like the younger, Lili talking about Yuan taking all the nutrients and growing taller than her, when she found Yuan shirtless she was funny too. Yuan taking the greasy food from San Pang and replacing it with salad, Qian being a mess while thinking about their steamy session at work and awww the doctor gave Yuan back the money he borrowed to buy cigarettes and I believe he used to smoke with Le, they are like pining for each other 😭 there are many more scenes. And Yuan bit Qian, he can really be besties with Zong Yi 🤭
I believe they didn’t specify about their roles in bed and that they were actually making fun of the top/bottom topic, even Qian’s comment is about the stereotype that exists about being a top because you’re the masculine one just like what happened with Rui. Both Rui and Qian are the masculine type, they have a masculine body but they can easily be bottom. I found many comments of people complaining because Babe (Pit Babe) was the bottom when he’s the one with the masculine body and the other is slim, so there’s that 😩 I’m glad they showed both active in the act ^^

I love how Yuan always tells Qian that it’s not his problem to bear. He doesn’t pressure Qian for an answer, just lets him realize it himself. You know he’s probably been thinking about it the four years Yuan was gone too. What a weight off his chest it must be to finally give in to his feelings.

Yuan made Qian chase him not on purpose but by design. You can see how hurt Yuan was by what Qian had said to his friend. He just wanted to get away and lick his own wounds in private. Yuan didn’t blame Qian or try to manipulate him in any way. If Qian had let Yuan walk away one of the 3 times that he does so this would’ve been a very different episode. I thought for sure that Qian was never going to admit his feelings because he kept saying that he didn’t know if his feelings were brotherly or something else. I’m glad they can finally be together.

As someone who read the novel. My understanding has been that qian simply gave in to yuan rather then fell in love. Doesn't mean that won't happen in the future but this story and the extent of it in the novel only explored till qian gave in to Yuan. It was more so being worn down by love and his incredible attachment to yuan left him no choice but to give in. Well that's my understanding anyway
Not exactly. In the book its written that Qian saw love as something dirty, he didn't understand what love is because of his Mother abuse. His Mother was a prostitute, and he grow up seeing his Mother being on drgs and with many man. Once he had a liberating dream, and when he wake up he understood he needed to comprehend his own heart and that it wasn't bad to love his brother even if he is a "man". And to understand his sexuality, and actually in the book the one who takes the initiative is Qian.
