the way my mom helps homeless people is bye giving them a place to stay and giving them food, i dont mind it at all but it gives you a bit of a warm feeling that you know that your doing a huge difference in someones life. :)

People seem to not understand that homeless people are still human just like the rest of us. Yes there are people that are tricking the system but focus on the ones that truly need the help. Even a smile, a meal, and a little chat can help brighten up their day. I made it a habit that every payday I walk around and help out a few people and to sit down and talk with them. Seeing their face brighten up with a smile when having someone treat them with kindness is worth a few minutes of my time

I have a lot of respect for the homeless. I almost joined them 15 years ago. Luckily I landed on my feet. But it was close back then. There was a guy a few years ago with a sign that said I need beer money. He was honest, so I gave him beer money. I respect that kind of honesty.
