The Middle Eastern Orchestra is a unique Arabic and Middle Eastern orchestra and the first one of its kind in Finland. What also makes is phenomenal is its multiculturality. The orchestra consists of 25-30 professional musicians who are coming from different countries, mostly living in Finland at the moment. There are 10-15 different nationalities in the orchestra, reminding us that music is the common language of the world. Music is an important channel to transmit the richness and beauty of the Middle Eastern musical tradition and an opportunity to create a united culture and history between the Western and Middle Eastern cultures.
The artistic director and founder of the Orchestra is oud player Ali Haithem from Iraq.
