- Pomeranian Grooming | In this video I demonstrate how to groom a Pet Pomeranian's ears and chest.
Blending Shears, also called Chunkers work great when scissoring a pom. When trimming the ears, small shears are best to use such has the Trim N' Cut Shears.

I get nervous when trimming my poms' ears. I use my fingernails to show me where the ear leather ends.

Now into our fourth Pomeranian in over 30 years, I have to say you are my favorite groomer of Pomeranians. Your professionalism does not interfere with your empathy and communication skills, a rarity in your field...and many other disciplines too.
You’ve certainly groomed that dog well. I have a cream Pomeranian he’s almost 12 years old. I like grooming him myself because I’m older and can’t afford to have him groomed. I live in New York. City so it’s very expensive. I’ve groomed him before but, I’m going to follow your way of doing it as it came out nice. Nice hear you say not to cut the undercoat. I hate when pom owners shave them. Looks horrible when it grows back in. My moms pom looks good never been shaved. She is pretty
Michelle Diaco I get my pom's under coat shaved and he turns out the same every time. He still has a beautiful coat and he gets shaved every summer because if not he has bad seizures

Michelle Diaco I have my pom shaved from April to October and he loves it and I think he is so very cute with his cut. His coat grows in fine over the winter months.
Very interesting video, and what a good boy he is! He looks almost just like my little female Pom, Mimi. She has a bit bigger white patch on her chest, but pretty much the same otherwise. Poms are wonderful little dogs!
He looks exactly like my puppy who passed away recently, he reminds me a lot of him, he didn't have great dental hygiene, and had big ears with a white scruff of hair on his chin. He was a very old dog and we had to put him down because of liver cancer. I miss him so much, and i just want him back with me. Love you Aussie, from the bottom of my heart.

I used to have a black pom dog and he looks exactly like him! He has a little white scruff on his chin just like that, his teeth were a bit messed up aswell (thanks to his past owners). Fly high buddy, I know you’re happy in heaven.

Love this trim better to what you see the shaved version of pomeranians. Unless the dog has severe health issues during the summer months, I preffer this.

Poms are notorious for having bad dental. It’s hard with smaller dogs to keep them really clean and healthy.
has this dog got bad teeth or rather teeth that need a clean. Mine is 5 yrs old and her teeth are white.

I have no idea where he came from. Search for Pomeranians in your area that breed black Pomeranians.
I got my beautiful little female Pom at the animal shelter, she looks almost identical to the one in this video. Please try shelters and rescues before buying a dog, there are too many puppy mills out there.

How often do you have to groom them or take them to a groomer? I have convinced my mom to get a Pomeranian so I wanna know how often you take them to groomers, once a week?
Pomeranians should be groomed between 4 to 8 weeks professionally and brushed at home at least once a week minimum.

My dog can't stay still he make mess in every where when i cut his hair... any ideas how to make him sit quietly ?
Groom him on a table with a non slip mat so he does not slide around. Praise when he stays still. Do short sessions daily and increase the sessions slowly. Use treats and words such as stand or stay and good dog.

I took my 10 month old Pomeranian to get a teddy bear cut . And when I picked him up they cut his fur so short and I’m worried it won’t grow back the same 🥺

Good boy. I have a mutant Pomeranian, King Fergus, who weighs almost 30 lbs. He's such a brat! Does not like getting combed, I feel like no matter how often I comb him recently, I keep pulling out undercoat. AND he does not like it.

Poor baby has so much tartar buildup on his teeth. A lot of people think it's impossible to keep toy dogs' teeth clean, but it's not. I give my pom dehydrated chicken necks to keep his teeth clean and have been using a leave-on dental gel to break down the rest of the plaque. I recommend chicken necks over chicken feet, because the bones in the neck are more brittle.
