I was having a hard day. Nothing went right for me. Saw tons of blacks on this spot and even more big gags and only came up with a few scamp. I did several drops on it that day with failed powerhead popped bands bad shots lost and bent shafts sharks and I’m sure something else. Had to go back home to get more tanks and shafts to finally get one of the blacks out.
If ya hold it with the handle up, it shoots right!! What a cluster phuck! You definitely worked ur ass off on that dive. Did you guys have your shark shields on, when that sandbar was being an ass, or did you turn them on after it showed up? I have heard they don’t care about them, but remember you saying you had one do a u turn & scram when you turned it on. I turn mine on before I roll in, don’t want to wait for them to show up! Those Blacks were freaking amazing on that ledge, what depth?
@kv-ry5gh that’s a dusky shark. They are much slower than the sandbars most of the time. This was from a while ago so don’t remember if my ss was still working or not but it doesn’t work anymore so I don’t use it. This ledge is in 170 and I just hit it a couple weeks ago. It had a couple small blacks running around and 3 dusky sharks.

It has a 223 round in it. I must have hit him in the cheek or I would think it would be dead.
That is a powerhead....it has a bullet in it and the concussion kills the fish....
