    This is hands down the best video on the notion for beginners! I saw this application in some video and I was struggling so badly using it. But now I can say I know some things about it. Thanks a ton for making this video! Also, I'm a student, and I'll be using it to make notes and to-do daily, weekly, and monthly lists. Thanks again!

      9:00 minutes in & still wish I’d be shown the overall skeleton first..not a million decoration options for a “hub” I don’t have context for (other than “you can do anything” “I could even @ someone..” ummmm great I guess… Does this app make pancakes? Because the title said for beginners).

    This was a great video - it really helped me to understand a bit more about Notion. I am using mine for my novel project; keeping track of my notes and also my unruly bookshelf. I watched one of your videos yesterday on how to make a Book Case and mine is now set up and looking very professional. So thank you for making these awesome tutorials. It's been a real help to me.

    Great tutorial. He has a knack for giving clear, concise explanations. His coverage is pretty thorough. I can become a confident, adept Notion user in no time. I can tell that he has no financial worries and is probably debt-free and well-off. He mispronounces the word 'lien' which means that he has never heard of one. 🙂Seems like neither he nor any one he knows has ever encountered this financial event. Good for you Productive Dude! Keep up the great work.

      @@ProductiveDude Quick hint: if you see a new word which does not have an obvious pronunciation, just google it followed by "dictionary". You'll get a page with the definition, some hieroglyphics showing you how to pronounce it, and for us living in the 21st century, you'll get a button to click and hear a voice pronunciation. How I wish I had that when I was a kid in school with my ADHD tripping me up.

    Altogether wonderful. But to change going forward: the phrase "Concat" in piece on Database formulas is short for command: Concatenate (means join together) - cat like the kitty-one - Usually you can also type "& {field 1} &" "& {Field 2} -etc. To create concatenated data in main field do it in 2nd field - Copy to Excel - as text - copy it back to Notion main field - delete now redundant 2nd field - best way to be sure main page item names are informative & unique. I usually link last name as 1st field so it can be an alpha list not of 1st names. ... Prosper, Dude!

      Incredibly informative video, but I couldn't get over that. Came here to see if anyone mentioned this and was not disappointed.

      Don't sweat mispronunciation. It's a by-product of reading more than hear.

    how do u reorder the table sections? im using notion on ipad and i rlly dont know how to drag & reorder the sections

      The iPad can be finicky at times. I recommend using a computer when building new workspaces. If you hover over the upper left corner of the block, you should be able to drag it.

    Is there any integration between to dos on Notion and the Apple Reminders and/or Calendar systems?

    • @ProductiveDude

      Check out my most recent video for a calendar integration: th-cam.com/video/pG-UjWikZSU/w-d-xo.html

    how do u add different sections? like the workplace and private?

    • @ProductiveDude
      @ProductiveDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Private appears once you share something - so when you share a page you'll get the "shared" tab.

    I am considering Notion to manage To Do/Task lists and projects. Currently I have a mixture of lists on paper and in paper diaries and also I have a lot of information in Google Calendar and its task lists and gmail. Can I link calendar information that I create in Notion to Google Calendar, for example?

    • @ProductiveDude
      @ProductiveDude  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Notion has its own built in calendar and you can achieve a Notion + Google Calendar integration with a third party API in Zapier.

    IM trying to set up a basic trading journal but "Table incline" is not showing up? Any ideas?

    • @ProductiveDude
      @ProductiveDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should be “Inline Database”, not “Table Incline”

    • @Barbarian646
      @Barbarian646 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProductiveDude Oh ok. I ask as there was that option at one time, I saw it on a short YT video on Notion. So will database inline be able to set me up to do a trading journal kunda like what I have on Excel?

    • @ProductiveDude
      @ProductiveDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Barbarian646 I recommend watching this video that I made on databases:
      th-cam.com/video/HeX_MH_Z-Bc/w-d-xo.html
      I would suggest using a full page database rather than inline. I go over that in this video.
      It’s definitely possible to create a trading journal.
      Another app that might be useful to check out is Coda. I recently released a few videos on it. :)
      May I ask, what is the trading journal going to be meant for? Logging all of your trade positions? Give me some more detail on what you want it to do. That might help. :)
