Pumpkin pie. Also at holidays grandma had open flat salt and pepper dishes at each setting. We had our own, never had to pass to others. Made you feel like royalties!!!

Love your collection, and your stories. You display and use your things; I do too. At 30.45minute mark, the little 'cup' you showed and didn't know what it was-I've always seen it called a 'custard cup'. I envy you living so close to the 'Endless Yardsale' highway. I've always wanted to go, but it's a looooong way from California, haha.

Dear Granny Pat, Recently found you on uTube & was hoping we’d get to see some of your beautiful glassware. Was especially intrigued to see some of your unusual Corningware pieces. The coffee pot and those bowls with the lids are especially interesting.
P.S. I think you also have an angel food cake cutter. They were made with those funny long prongs to prevent squishing the cake slice when cutting. Go figure! 😇

I received Cornflower pattern corningware as wedding gifts 🎁 in 1978. Then the local supermarket sold the Corningware cornflower pattern plates for 25 cents each with grocery purchase . I’ve inquired to buy them recently, they are pricey. I love your collection!!

I never had a grandmother and I’m trying to make up to my grandchildren what I missed; leave them something to remember me by. Besides, I’m having fun. As Jan says, “It keeps you on your feet instead of sitting on your butt on the sofa!” (Jan speaks her mind! lol)

I love all the fiesta ware you have in the cabinet there, too. I have a lot of Corning Ware from wedding presents. Also in the Cornflower pattern. I have set those aside for my niece when she comes home. We don't have any children. She is the daughter of my heart. Years ago we gave both of our mothers some in the fruit and spice pattern. I now have those back. I'm keeping them. ☺ Very clever on retrieving your shredder. Those are good ones! Very handy cake cutters. I love cobalt blue glass. I have a set like your measuring cups. The little cup that you don't know what it is. Is it rough inside? Even though I would think glass would not be good, it really looks like a mortar without its pestle. Or maybe a sugar dish? I'm so glad you were at least able to glue your ginger jar together! I've had my husband glue several things back together just because I couldn't part with them. He is meticulous and a craftsman. He's pretty handy. After 50 years, I think I'll keep him. 🥰 I like your egg beater, too!

You are so amazing you have kept all of these gadgets and collections alive by telling their story of a time that brings such joyful memories to so so many without Gran’s like you so much of history would be lost to the younger generations and yes many of the kids today love all these antiques !!!!!! I have a few items I cherish and always looking to find more sometimes I hold things and wander who used this what were they like what was their life story? They would be thrilled to know people treasure things they used and are telling the stories of the era in which they lived!!!!!! Sending you love, hugs and prayers always ✝️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I know I said I’m kinda quiet, but your beautiful kitchenware brings me so much memories! 😂 The Fire King- my parents had milk glass coffee cups made by Fire King- these I remember because when I was reading age I was given a stool to get up on to wash dishes. I had a little sister that we were supposed to share washing dishes, but she’d always tell mother that she did them yesterday when I actually did them! Anyway- I’d read the maker’s marks on the bottom of the dishes. I remember Anchor Hawking, Pyrex and Corelle. Probably some of them forgotten- thank you for this show it is very much needed, so the young people can hopefully keep the passion going! I love seeing your excitement scooting around the table to show different pieces- that’s the passion that needs passed on. 😊❤

My parents were also married in 1954 and my mom had many of the gadgets you have, but hers had red handles. I believe the gadget with the wavy edge is used to cut vegetables and makes them have a lovely ruffled edge. I have a newer one and it is called a crinkle cutter. I use it on carrots and cucumbers and it makes the veggies look so pretty. I don't have any Jadeite, but love its calming green color.

    G. Pat, this was SO very interesting that it didn’t seem more than twenty-five minutes long! I LOVED every single piece you showed! Everything was interesting and most things were absolutely beautiful! I love dishes but never had many sets at all. The first was the beautiful set that my husband-to-be and I registered for at the jewelry store in our home town, prior to our wedding. We started our marriage using a set of the old “Melmac” dishes. I was still in college and we didn’t have the lovely home we dreamed of, where we would later use our china. I absolutely love dishes and beautiful home goods. Your place is the wonderful place to see more than I’ve ever owned! My hubby has passed on and now I’m no longer collecting household items. Besides, it is such fun shopping and browsing, hoping for that special find. I found a Herend tiny bowl at GW for fifty cents. Tiffany’s and Saks have it at $225. Now, that’s what gives you a thrill! It is a thrill when I hear from viewers in Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales. And of course, other countries I have longed to visit. My ancestors came to America from England and Wales in the 1700s. I have spent years researching them.
I have broken my share of treasures and you can be sure, I cry! Thank you so much and tell your friends I would love to hear from them, too.

Did you see the big sale MS had on her farm. Woweeee! The buyers were lined clear out of the county. All I could focus on was her Jadeite -‘jealous’! Why did she have to monopolize the market so that people like me could not afford to buy? It has been years since I have added to my collection. Love my Jadeite!

Granny, the show I watched before this one you showed gadgets. Well the one you said you did not know what it was for that had the squeeze on end I believe it's maybe a garlic press squeeze or for squeezing something

Thank you for showing your Corningware and Pyrex. You have the much-sought-after Butterprint pattern (sometimes called Amish), and the turquoise was released in 1963. So pretty! The blue cornflower Corningware, the pot that has the ounces on the inside has a black handle you can attach to it. They used to sell the handle separately, you might recall. I still see these handles at antique malls.

I believe I have one of those Corningware black handles. I was always afraid to use it for fear it would come loose. You seem to be knowledgeable about kitchenware. I had not heard of the ‘butterprint pattern’.

I love your Jadeite collection, Granny Pat! That scalloped cup is a Fire King Scalloped Flower Pot. My favorite items to collect are the Jeannette items, especially the cute little spice jars! I had six but lost four in a recent earthquake, amongst other items in my collection... It was a sad day to say the least. I have the Allspice and Nutmeg. I'm always on the hunt for those cute little guys! Blessings to you! 💚

I still have 2 of my moms corning ware dishes and I have the corning ware coffee pot . I made coffee in the coffee pot on the stove a few months ago just for the heck of it. I do use the other corning ware dishes all the time.

The one you weren't sure what it was for is a crinkle cut French fry cutter. , the other thing I couldn't see good but I think it was for squeezing lemons .
