Hand controlled trolling motor foot switch/ trolling motor mod/hack

Here is my modification I did to my hand controlled trolling motor to make it some what a foot controlled trolling motor. it has help me in a few different ways an makes it a little bit more easier while trying to fight fish not having to turn the trolling motor on by hand. hope this easy simple build helps you and feel free to modify it to your needs

That's better than a Bigfoot switch,especially the cheap China ones -good job

Great Idea only thing I would suggest is a 30 amp fuse between the battery and the switch

Put a relay in for switch leg therefore you have a shorter power wire to motor

On thr handle of the trolling motor put it in reverse. There are 5 speeds forward an 2 speeds in reverse. Just put it in reverse an hit the switch. Appreciate you watching
