Took daughters to WDW in 1997 - they were totally mesmerized for 5 days. Stayed at the Yacht Club Resort and attended conference while they explored park during the days. Love this series, Tom.
Oh those E-Ticket Nights were amazing. I remember riding Splash Mountain like 5 times in a row and they'd just let us stay on the ride because there was no line. So fun.
Okayyy you've missed something here. November of 1997 was my first ever trip to WDW. I know for a fact that MGM Studios opened a Goosebumps themed attraction and show that year. I have a souvenir photo where you could pose on a blue screen to have yourself put into the cover of a Goosebumps book. I was looking forward to seeing you cover this because I know it was a retheme of the Roger Rabbit themed area I never got to see. Video exists online of the short lived stage show that opened for the Halloween season, but this remodeled gift shop area stayed open into November at least. I was looking forward to you covering this year. I recall the hype around Test Track at the time.
The only thing that can think of that happened at WDW in 1997 is Test Track was delayed at EPCOT, because the ride system was state of the art at the time, there were software issues, and there was a problem with the tires for the ride vehicles. Spring 1997 was the original opening date for Test Track before it got delayed.
We still wants the redhead! Especially now that she's a pirate! You know, this was probably not written for binge-watching, but it's pretty good for that, not TOO repetitive. Good work. And Tom does a very good job at commentary in this scripted format.
Love these videos.. Miss all the neat stuff.. they have managed to get lazy and boring… to shut down rides and have meet and greets with princesses is lazy.
Hi guys can I ask you something why will Disney shut all their shops in the United Kingdom people in the UK that cannot get up to wall Disney World in Florida and around the world enjoyed going into the shops and a part of Disney in the United Kingdom has now gone undersnow been no proper excuse why Disney shut their shops can you tell us why
Universal might be better right now. They are actually adding more free stuff and giving you more benefits. Disney is trying to shake you done every second, they hit a point it backfires and is too far
@@veromikes I was told that. Several cast members are searching for places to transfer. But I haven’t seen anything on it. Hoping someone else knew something
As we get closer to 2000 I hear Obiwon in my head saying, “before the dark times. Before the empire.” Thanks for this beautiful series.
The memories ❤ our families second visit. I have so much love for 97. Thank you WDWNT team for sharing 97 with us

I loved this. It was extremely interesting and I love looking back at the old attractions. Magical Memories.
This series is so well done and really allows me to enjoy my childhood again plus when my kids were little.
Please consider doing a version of this for Disneyland ... I never want it to end! 👍🏻😎

It's amazing how memories flood in. I love this.
Still amazed at all the changes through the years. Thanks again for this series.

I also remember this! It also had a mirror maze where the characters could both grab AND pick you up... Definitely wouldn't fly today lol

Timekeeping is a very welcome program. Thanks

Another great stroll through time ⏳
'Twas a hint of what 'twas to come for ye ol' rides
Lmao I wondered about that King Stefan’s restaurant for so long, thought maybe I was missing something or thinking too hard about it 😂
Maybe you could create a separate folder for “Time Keepers” ? It would make it simpler and allow for content libraries? Thank you
Everyone has a favorite Disneyworld year. 1997 is mine. My first ever trip.
Love ❤️ these!
2:40 Guilty. Thank you, that is all.
You forgot about the Goosebumps show that debuted at MGM Studios, it didn't last too long though.
I wonder why WDW doesn't host the Olympics, but found out they are hosting the special Olympics USA next year.
I miss Disney’s 1 Saturday morning. Not everything Disney made/owned from the block is on Disney+ yet.

Back when Disney was #1... now they give the same experience as universal

I was told Saratoga Springs is closing

Some good changes over the years. But mostly not.
