Zakir Naik can give the best of information on Hinduism to Hindus. He has even memorized their scriptures. But he is not called a Hindu scholar. True Muslim scholars r not ppl with a lot of info.Their recitation of Quran can cure drug addicts. Difference between ilm and information.
Why did you differentiate information and ILM?
A person with ilm can change/uplift/transform people and understand people very accurately. A person who has a lot of information can't do much for people. For example a person who has studied tafseer knows very detailed meanings of Quran text but has no ilm of Quran(it's actual miracle)
Would you learn Quran tafseer from a person who says "I can give you a fantastic lecture on Quran,but my recitation won't have much value"?
Can you define this value?
There are people who don't know Arabic but their recitation of Quran has value..
If they recite an ayah of Quran which contains concepts of mercy, the listeners can feel/taste mercy and become transformed.
What's does this signify?
It means you can't teach what you can't feel/value.
But people need to understand Quran to follow Deen. Recitation of Quran can't build Aqeedah in a person. Isn't it so?
Building Aqeedah starts with purification of heart
Umar Ibn khattab entered Islam after hearing Quran(miracle part) not by reading a text.
What exactly is the point?
There is a need to love Quran and leave useless information. In earlier times,a teacher would choose an ayah which was relevant to the times/events,recite and explain the meanings to inspire/transform them.Teaching tafseer one surah after another can make people dislike Quran because this method doesn't heal the hearts.Islam does not oblige people to understand everything even though Quran addresses all issues. Ordinary people can't even understand their own psychological problems.
Listening to righteous people can make the heart righteous. Listening to harsh people can cause listeners to become harsh.
Abu Bakrah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O Allah, grant me wellness in my body. O Allah, grant me wellness in my hearing. O Allah, grant me wellness in my seeing. There is no God but You.”

He was the head psychologist of juvenile squad of the Toronto Maple leaf (official squad) where he was responsible for alter the behavior of the sportsmen and tuning them into a professional.
