i was actually very surprise not seeing an Alissa spam the chainsaws. That player was the perfect example of a carryed player. I even run into one of those Alissa players today.Raijin He didnt plug (plugging quick matchs is just dumb) and i got my 7 golden letters BTW 13:52 was a perfect read. Nice work m8
@@claudimerro it’s actually funny the Alisa player had a 12% disconnect rate and it goes to show you that Bandai still doesn’t know how to deal with these pluggers, he is a Tekken king player that shouldn’t be here but since he probably one and done and plugs the majority of the time he stays up in this rank. I have ran into many pluggers even in quick matches as well I don’t understand it, plugging doesn’t make you better it just makes it so you don’t have to learn. That read I had against that lidia, I even said it in my head watch the low lmao and she did it
Also to not leave you only with my rant about grabs... here's another knockdown tip which was working like a charm for me pretty much like perf 1+2 chasing of tech rollers. So when you pressured opponent into a wall and then got them with iai d1+2, you are essentially flipping them over on knockdown and insane amount of players incorrectly wake up not realising they lie on stomach with their back to you. Due to wall you are obviously up close to them and by doing f4, 2 -> iai you are setting up huge damage. 2nd hit of string is gonna knock them down again and by entering iai you can go again for d1+2 or d2. I think I should have some recording with nice demonstration but idk if youtube allows links
Congrats mate, nice work! I still probably need to fix my main major flaw before going for Emperor. I suck at breaking throws too much, just downright freeze during majority of them which is pretty shameful at Tekken King tbh. I need to finally force myself to set up that famous Dragunov throw break training I saw on PhiDX's channel months ago

I watched that as well and the one thing I love that he mentions is even if you don’t break it that’s fine just get into the habit of learning how to see the throw. I still get hit by throws a lot but once I get hit by one I mark it down in my head like okay it’s not a 1 break let’s try 2 and go through them all until I eventually start seeing it properly. In the heat of a match it is pretty hard to just see it and break but once you get it down you’ll start seeing everything like you have a sharingan 😂. Also the majority of players you run into don’t use every throw they only use what’s most common with the character that’s what helped me as well, knowing what throw usually everyone goes for with a certain character because it gives the most damage or better oki
@@Lotus_awakening yep, I just need to dedicate some time to establish reflexes on animation to at least press break (even if it's incorrect). Like I dunno why do I just freeze up in 9 out of 10 cases, I feel like that video is maybe partially at "fault" because I also remember him saying to not mash break because it's better to miss it completely rather than make your muscle memory mash incorrect break every time. I guess I subconciously took that too seriously 🫠

What has helped me with my defense is playing other characters I’ve been playing Steve more on the side and I’m a little bit more defensive with him cause idk how to punish everything with him properly, which now has carried over to my Victor more cause a lot of ppl play like crackheads in ranked 😂
@@christiansaloj548 that’s the main issue I have cause there is a lot of strings with every character and most of the time in higher ranks ppl just use the strings that no one else will to knowledge check you. Once you start seeing that most of ppl offense is filled with gimmicks and cheese to win them their matches instead of actually learning to play properly
With victor the way you can improve your defense is by practicing your parries and placing your keep out moves The b2 parry is a little on the slow side but creating space you can easily get consistent with it. It’s worth throwing it out cuz it staggers them when you land it for a free punish And you don’t have to rely on it too much if you don’t want to either since the perfumer stance now has a punch parry effect too
@@versatilelord8893 to an extent I would say try parry, I don’t think it’s good at all imo, the timing on perfumer is so tight that you barely see anyone go for it. You can only practice defense to a certain point in this game cause 90% of the Tekken 8 is in your face and 1 launch into a 50/50 after for your game lmao
kinda long but question to improve my victor, I notice after activating heat in the combo you do 31 (i think) then the only in heat ground stab move is that guaranteed if they try to get up or stay on the ground?
@@thestanimal6076 so I have an explanation in one of videos talking about the setup I do here, anytime you get your opponent at the wall you have two setups the one I use commonly is F42 then you go into iai stance then do D2 which will be the stab in the ground he does, if they block this you’re +4 on block but if you have heat on you’re +8 instead which gives you a guaranteed iai stance 2. If they decide to stay on the ground and not get up you get a little bit of damage. So it is guaranteed if they get up or stay on the ground. With them blocking it you get a free mixup and if they mash they will get hit then you just redo the scenario again to see what they choose to do this time

Tekken 8 is my first ever Tekken and in 530 hours I am Tekken King with Victor. All of my 530 hours are with Victor.
