I admire Jonathan McRenolds and his transparency in his music. He voices everything I feel about God in his songs and I thank God for using him to minister and share his testimony with us.
It's amazing how Jonathan STARTED singing in high school & had scholarship offers before attending college. That's some extremely phenomenal talent right there. It's almost difficult to believe, but with God, "all things are possible". Getting a scholarship to Berkley is a really "high" achievement, & not something that "regular" or the "average" student is doing. Jonathan is very modest, extremely talented, very smart, dedicated & passionate about his relationship with God; & all of those are admirable qualities for any young adult.
What an amazing young man. He told the, honest to God truth about your dreams. You will be the happiest where God put you, regardless to where it is. The body is best served with the foot at the end of the leg and no place else. It can't be the hand.
Jonathan I liked it when you say would you all want the church truth or the real truth. Thanks for saying the truth and not what we want to hear. Be happy , learn where your gift and your calling and your grace collide, work where they meet. God has not called everone to be a celebrity, he hasn't called everyone to be rich and famous but he has called everybody to be used. He has called everybody to be successful, to be effective and to be powerful. I'm taking this words home to sit and meditate on it. More grace bro

When he spoke on being happy I thought of Paul's contentment in Philippians 4. Paul, as Saul, was formerly a man of high status. Now, here he is a man that has been "through the ringer," to say the least, content through all circumstances, because the secret is dependence and trust in the Lord. I also think of the beatitudes; all those points to happiness are far from what the world calls us to do to be happy. In fact, the beatitudes don't call us to DO, they call us to BE.
