- Historical building materials such as straw and clay are making a comeback. But can they meet the high requirements of modern construction?
Find out how prefab straw panels can become the building blocks of the future.

Great innovation! Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much.
Cool! Great!
More and more R&D!

What are it's sound insulation qualities? I imagine it would be quite good, as no need of a reinforced concrete building frame as in the high-rise I once lived.
In an episode of, "Location, Location, Location" (UK TV series) they said noise nuisance is one of the most common reasons given for moving house.
how many years this panels will be in good condition?
I lived in a high-rise block of flats (William Batchelor House) that used compacted straw and cement prefabricated panels for internal walls. It was built in 1966 and the panels are still in good condition.
Any plans to expand to the United States? Also what is the R value or the thermal performance for the panels and how much wood fiber insulation is needed to achieve Passivehaus standards?
I guess Ecococon ships anywhere... In Slovakia it’s usually 100mm Steico protect. Depending on your climate it can be more or less. Alternative is a cheaper VestaEco straw fibreboard.
@@wardwillems09 yeah I saw they shipped everywhere but I would like to buy locally sourced materials to offset the cost and carbon offset of shipping half way across the world. I’m hoping eventually they will start manufacturing panels in North America
