Danny Dietrich enters Lincoln undefeated during PA Speedweek, having won Friday's Williams Grove opener and last night at BAPS Motor Speedway. Saturday's Kevin Gobrecht Memorial was rained out.

If it’s a bad start you throw the yellow and give the penalty on the restart. Why would you wait until almost the end of the race and give a penalty for something that happened at the beginning?
If I were Borden , I'd be giving that track , the officials , and that rule the old middle finger salute. Jumped on the ORIGINAL start? Then throw the yellow and fix it at the BEGINNING , not half way through the race. What would they have done if it went non stop? Taken the win away. I'll call BS on that crap. They just handed the win to Macaroni.

I was amazed of Bordens interview at the end of the race. He has more class than I could think possible considering what that track did to him.

That WAS NOT a jump on the initial start! The leader went far before ANYONE in the field. What the hell kind of rules does this track run??? No where else in the country would that be grounds for any kind of penalty... Race director needs to find a new job!

I think it may be because he dropped his car lower and didn’t stay in line crossing the start line. Believe you have to stay in line until you cross the start line

In Australia, if a jump start happens, immediate restart, if it happens again by the same car, relegate 1 row

Didn’t care for that penalty call, but I do like it when the fastest way around is top on one end, bottom on the other and seeing who eventually figures it out. Obviously not the same for cars back in the pack, but I’m not really watching them anyway. 😅

Doesn't make sense. I'm confused. Had to have jumped the restart and they didn't show it.
I have never known why certain tracks do this, and some don't. Some have their restart zones, some have a cone. Or nothing and count on the leader firing at the bay you fired when the green dropped. You could be in tenth and see the flagman or a light in turn four. And if you were good you could get five cars on the start of the drop of the green. A jump was usually caught in the first couple of rows. My brother was the best at restarts. I wasn't bad but I wasn't great.
Now I went and read the rule from Lincoln. It was called correctly. I'm amazed

Lincoln’s argument to the penalty was that Borden was not in the line for the restart. He was supposedly 1 lane lower than Hartlaub on the start but when you go back and watch the start it is clear that Borden stayed in the tire tracks the entire time, while Hartlaub drifted up the track and out of the tire tracks, horrible officiating and rule

The rule when you get penalized is the next yellow/red or the end of the race for jumping.....lincoln is known for bad calls and favorable drivers but this is wild I'm hr away and never go there

Has nothing to do with having a flag man. Those calls are made by the person in the tower or the corner flagger who also keeps a watch on the starts. Having a person in the flag stand is irrelevant to that call.

In their rules, *if* it says 'starts must be nose-to-tail' then the 23 didn't follow the pole sitter (who clearly moved up on the track).
If they *don't* have a 'starts must be nose-to-tail' rule, the 23 didn't jump, he just was in the same line that everyone else was in on the inside lane when the polesitter moved up the track coming to the line.
And here's the answer to the question: according to the PA Speedweek website it states: "Each track is responsible for its racing rules and insurance". So, in this case, it's Lincoln's 410 rules. And here's the exact section that spells out starts: "All cars must be nose to tail within the tracks of the car in front of them until the leaders reach the starting line. Those not in line or passing before the green flag is displayed will be penalized a minimum of two (2) positions. Any car not in a nose to tail formation will be subject to jumping penalties.

They just tell him he got third place L O L.😂 39M was even lower on the track than the 23. Nobody followed the pole sitter as he clearly impeded the outside lane. It would’ve been a total train wreck if they all followed that bad line 🫣
And according to Lincolns argument defending their bullshit call they said it was cause he didn't stay in line the whole time or was a lane lower or some bullshit excuse. First off there is a wall there so no he could not be lower than hartlaub on the start that's a lie by Lincoln. Secondly so what are they saying u have to follow exactly in the leaders tire tracks till u get to turn 1 then u can start racing??? Like what kinda crap Is that. Total BS call on Borden. Lincoln should be ashamed. If I was Borden that interview Ida told everyone exactly how I felt about them. That was a total robbery. Macri couldn't get around their fav hometown boy so they had to make some dumb shit up n put him back. He didn't even jump he just got down in the grip n had more gear. Lincoln just lost a fan.
