Stock market is not a reflection of how regular people are doing and low unemployment doesn't account for people no longer working or are underemployed. People always seem to forget this when it supports their cause. Inflation that touches their lives matters far more. You can point to the dow all day long but food, rent, housing, energy prices and and home insurance rates are crushing the middle class. Even fast food has skyrocketed to the point that its now a luxury item for average Americans instead of a cheap alternative. After a certain number of months they just stop counting you as unemployed even if you are still not working and still drawing government assistance.
