so, ive rode an r3 for a year straight no matter the weather. Got to learn how to properly ride, and i was even passing some of my r6 buddies when cornering. The issue i have is the fact that my bike was stolen over 6 months ago, though im conflicted on whether i should get an r6 or the r7. I sat on a 2008 r6, and a 2020 model, it was insane how flickable the bike felt. Almost like my r3, if not better, and i fell in love with that. Given its been a while though, i think its the stupider decision to hop onto a 600cc bike that i have no experience on given my hiatus, and itd be smarter to get the r7. Thoughts anyone?
Such a beautiful bike. I could look at it all day long. I bought one subject to a satisfactory test ride. I rode it and it was no good, too uncomfortable for a bloke my size so I ended up with an mt07. Really fun bike but doesn’t look anywhere near as good as the r7. Great review mate!
Loved the video. Geat video format, I appreciate that you gave the well thought out review once you are in the comfort of your place. Thorough and undistracted. +1sub
Enjoyed it. Very authentic and hit the points that matter to most riders. Look forward to my R7 acquisition soon and will repost a comment. Well done and your great workspace signals who you are a a rider and a person. Well done.
Looks like that bike is missing a piece underneath where the stock license plate holder would be, thus the road grime coming up under the passenger seat. You should not be able to see daylight coming from below when you remove the seat.
How's it going, have you been riding it through winter ? I was fully committed to buy an rs660 but everyone seems to be having oil leaks, coolant leaks, issues with gear selector and I don't have an aprilia dealer nearby so I've changed my mind. I've been looking at the r7 and ninja 650 and can't decide I prefer the sitting up comfy position on the ninja because I get a bad back easily and r7 is quite a bent over position. This is why I was hoping to get an rs660 as the riding position is between the two but the r7 looks soo good
@@martiangod I don’t have the best back myself but I don’t have any issues with the riding position on the R7. I need to be more mindful of my hand positioning though, my left wrist was pretty sore after the last long ride I went on. It’s summer where I am at the moment, I haven’t been through a winter with it as yet
It's a great bike for the street..plenty of power on tap and it's pretty responsive...only downfall -after 110mph,it's a SNNNNNNAIL TO GET TO 125-130... for the price it's A great sportsbike but it's no R6..
The r7 just looks the mutts mutts, also that cp2 engine is renowned for being super reliable, a German magazine pulled an Mt07 engine apart after 60,000 miles of abuse and there was no wear! I doubt you will get that from an aprilia rs660 which is highly stressed! Maybe spend a bit on the brake's a brembo RCS 19 radial master cylinder is £250 with a set of braided lines would improve the front brake. I think it's a stunning first bike for a new rider which will be reliable and cheap to run!
Know what rye, I watch all your videos whenever they're posted and I love how your always chill, I loved the rs you had as I have a street triple r 2010, I'm guessing the r7 in terms of power delivery is similar to the cb650r, I love my triple, and am thinking of getting the new r6. Love your videos please please keep uploading 👌🏻👍🏻
Don't get me wrong love the brand, style. But, my brain couldn't accept hearing it the this bike sounds like a CRF 300L.. PLEASE DON'T GET MAD😞 I STILL CONSIDER IT, MAYBE. THANK YOU LOVE YOU VIDEO SIR.💐
Whenever I see someone put the word honest in front of anything I keep scrolling because realistically if you have to say you're going to be honest it's not worth watching
It's actually got a really nice induction noise and the engine naturally produces pops even with the stock exhaust. Aftermarket for this makes it sound so angry and it's got a really good sound.
@@carlosg6237 It's constructive criticism and explains why I wouldn't watch his other reviews. If it wasn't so edited it might be interesting to watch. Sure I'll make some videos this summer.
I wish manufacturers would stop allowing the clutch cable to go right in front of the display...so annoying!! Nice review mate
eyes on the road not on the display 😂😂😂😂
@@itzerisadomeeiot4980 then why you need a display ?
it looks satisfying.
Many thanks, brilliant presentation of this bike. I’ve ordered a 24 model in blue as I was really impressed test riding it.

This video will do so well mate 💪🏽💪🏽
Appreciate that! I believe it will be a popular bike to be honest. Priced so well
@@BikesofRye totally agree, however , I am biased Aprilia 660 all the way lol

May I ask how tall are you and how much do you weigh?
You gave it some big licks considering the conditions looked frightening! Great channel can’t wait for your reviews in the summer!
Was a bit dodgy... appreciate the support thanks
Nice review I a waiting for mine to come in the R7 Anniversary addition.
Damn nice colour combo that one 👌🏼
Same thing for me 🏴
Me too! Just ordered a 60th 😁

You did good, always enjoy your videos. By the way you’re right that was a lot of road grime coming up through that whole under the pillion.
That because the oem number plate hanger has been replaced with a tail tidy
Good review, I think I'm just tempted to wait for an R9 at this point. Will be waiting to see your review on that bike too :D
The R9 will be epic no doubt
When does r9 release.
hands down, my favourite series of motorcycle baddy-assy-ness
that is true not agressive but nice to drive
Great riding skills mate. It shows that in good hands this thing can fly. Thanks for the video!! 🎉

I just bought one as a first bike 👌

Please make the horizon in the middle of the screen it makes you woozy watching this with no horizon on screen.
Discovered that I had the camera at the wrong angle for this only after I had shot the video. I apologise

I’m in on subbing this channel… nice review 👍🏻
Appreciate you very much
The Tuono 660 is currently available for £7,995, I think that moves the goalposts a bit.
Woah someones been hitting the gym.. still 50/50 on the bike - prob would prefer the RS660

R7 is similar to the cb650r I meant 😅
Thank you for the feedback 👊🏼 - you're thinking of getting the new R7 you mean?
New r6 😁 different style to the triple, but fancy a second bike to blast around
@@jakecorsi8709 sorry to piss on your chips but r6 only available as a track bike nowadays. Second-hand they hold their value

How does it compare to the 650r from honda

Honda cbr650r or yamaha r7??

Euro5 for you. Stick an aftermarket exhaust on will sound beautiful
