I am 72 years however I recite Surah khaff every Friday from a long time so by default some parts memorized
What you have to do is select just few aayath read them and recite in sunnat and nafeel namaz after prayer check for any mistakes if ok proceed to next few aayaat and so on like wise in one month time Alhamdullilah I memorized Surah arrahman
Surah khaaf has many interesting stories take one recite only that like story of zulkharnain then proceed to other so complete all stores I did like this see your convenient way while memorizing you get sawaab also for every word
Try inshallah nothing is difficult for a Muslim if your intention is to please Allah

Yes I have Heard this hadees since childhood.
But if we read through last prophet Muhammad pbuh life routine. No one had mentioned that.
I am not denying the benefits of God's words . But they are more to understand and make them part of our life. Then just reading the Arabic.
My brain goes wobbly just by trying to understand one ayat.
