Thanks Chuck. Your overview has made the decision much easier. I already have a Peavey KB100 Keyboard amp, stand and I want five pin midi connections. So the obvious choice for me is the PX360. I just hope the old KB100 speakers still sound as clear as it did 15 years ago.
At the same price (actually a bit less that $40 more), should I buy the PX 350 over the PX 160? I study classic piano and plan to play a bit of jazz in the future. Wich one shoud be the best bang for the buck? Thank you.
I have a PX 350. Bought it in 2013? I think. I really like it. My sister has a PX 160 and I find it more fun to play. A lighter touch though so you may get overconfident because you can play faster on the 160! I used to use my 350 to record on board. It was a bit difficult to use but I got used to it. Now I use garage band to record so it doesn’t matter. But it definitely has a lot more features. I think it depends. Do you want to be able to record on board and have lots of different sounds available? Then get the PX 350. If you want to mainly use apps connected via usb or use it as a midi controller then get the 160. The PX 160 only has a few sounds, like piano, organ, vibes and strings.
That's a great video! Don't you know, what's the better option: Casio PX-160 or PX-350? They both have identical price, but I am kinda stuck and don't know, which one to choose. All I need is a good grand piano sound and an opportunity to connect the piano to my mac via MIDI/USB. Thank you.
I've heard that you can have split voices and layering simultaneously on the PX-350 with two layered voices on the right side for example and another on the left. I'd love to layer bass with piano, but only on the left side. So piano for the whole instrument and bass on the bottom end only. Is this possible?
Hi Chuck.....does the old px 350 have a transpose function?????? I have looked online in the manual and it makes no reference to it . However when I looked at the px150 manual it does have this function. Hopefully you can clear this up for me. Thanks

I really appreciate your videos. Very useful info! I'm considering taking piano lessons for the first time. How would you rate the CDM 130 vs. the PX 350? I read the tech specs on both. But in a practical application for a student/amateur player. Do you think it is worth spending the extra $$ ?

+Mike Summers - You can do this with any of the new models (CGP-700, PX-360, PX-560).
