I don't have a problem with the taste of McD's Apple Pie. It is not as good as the original with the solid-shell crust, but I don't think the apples taste bad - but they could use a little extra cinnamon.

Yep, McDonald's screwed up big time by switching from fried to baked pies and getting rid of the cherry pies. Popeye's is way better. Rally's used to have great apple pies till they got rid of them! Way to go Rally's! However I must say that I love those McDonald's Holiday pies.

Here in the UK our McDonald’s apple pies are still deep fried! Baking them to make them healthier is a bit pointless as it’s not as if people expect McDonald’s to be healthy and besides an apple pie is supposed to be a treat so not something you would buy everyday anyway. Thoughts?

To the best of my knowledge, Rally's doesn't make the apple pies anymore or at least they don't have them at my closest location. Major bummer!

In Hawaii, we had the same switch. However, the pies were later changed back to fried.
