So much in this video, it looks great. I’m thinking about buying a thicknesser, and would be very interested in more content about working with raw materials: e.g. what to look for when selecting timber, properties of different species, how to store it, does it need seasoning, how much wastage to allow for, and does it stay flat after planing?
@duncanstreet4955 it's super expensive here as well, but when you buy it in this rough form, air dryed etc. Then it's not that expensive. But you need to dry it properly and then mill it 🙄
Beautiful. Great stuff. I've been thinking of making an entry table with similar structure. What was your thinking about the possibility of the panels to expand/contract?
@cholly1972 it's a Titan jointer from Screwfix can't go any cheaper than that, Rage 5S table saw one of the cheapest out there, planer/thickneser when I bought it about 6 years ago it was on the cheap side. So yes budget tools. No Festool, no cast iron jointers, no drum sanders, no cabinet saws, no Bosch, Milwaukee, Makitas, Woodpeckers, no professional cabinet making tools.
@ADHDIYuk Everywhere, all my tools are budget tools. No Festool, no Bosch, no Milwaukee, no Woodpeckers, no Makitas, no massive cast iron jointers, no drum sanders etc.
Great build Tomaz
@jamesnewman2164 thank you kindly 👍
Lovely job Tomazs… one of your best projects I reckon 😊
