I believe I connected it to the CarPlay cable if I’m not mistaken. But try clicking on the auto link and follow the directions. Let me double check for you right now.
I’m going to make another video on the auto link, also test out another product neck week.

Did you have any issues with getting the sound to play out the speakers I directly wired them to the radio harness and wired power acc and ground to the amp harness to bypass the amp 😑

At night my atoto f7 dimmer keeps flickering from daytime brightness to night time brightness….. think you can help me out with that?
Maybe check the dimming connection? Make sure it’s connected good. If that doesn’t fix the problem you can contact customer support.
What's good bro. I have this on my s13 and have the brown wire to ground but for some reason my Android auto or Mirror link don't connect... Was there anything you did besides the brown to ground to make it work?

Nice review! I was looking at this or the S8 for my IS300. Looks like this one might do everything I want it to. Do you need to have your phone attached to cable for your Apple CarPlay to work or can you use it via Bluetooth?

I had an A6 Pro and wired it to an always on/hot wire with a switch on my console. Reason being, I wanted to record with my dashcam while my key was out and car turned off for surveillance. Worked like a charm for years.

Not the USB port itself. This stereo comes with a usb wire that comes from the back. Specifically for CarPlay

My car logo isn’t there, are you able to add logos to it?
You’d have to contact their customer support so they can add the logo for their next update.

How did you get the Nissan logo when you start it or does it automatically know what type do car your have once it’s installed
Do you have the F7se version? If so I explain it in the video. You would have to go to the settings and pick your vehicle logo. From factory it will start up with the Atoto logo.

It’s a bit hard to tell at the moment since my speakers are done. But it sounds the same to me compared to the pioneer I had. The only thing I miss about my pioneer is the volume knob lol

Is your phone connected?
If it is and it’s not working it could be the wire you’re using. Get a different charger and try it out again.
Is there a way to add a startup sound?
Not sure to be honest but you can contact customer support maybe they can add that on their next software update.
How’s it holding up? Any random resets? Thinking about ordering today.
It’s holding up good, but it does lag at times. The reset has only happened once. But I did notice a couple time that I’ve had to jumpstart the car I have to disconnect the stereo and re connect it for it to work.

No , if I’m not mistaken the dash kit you have should work.
That is if you have a skyline r32 if not, I would recommend the dash kit.

Do you know if the ATOTO S8 Standard 7 inch will play MP3 on a USB and which port?
I think so. It's the external storage port.
How is call quality? I am hearing users having issues being understood through the mic onboard or external.
I've only used the built in mic and people tell me the call quality is pretty bad. I have watched other videos and read reviews and it seems the mic, built in or external, it's pretty bad with this model. Other than that I'm happy with the unit, unfortunately call quality is usually an important part of someone buying a head unit.
@@Jay-sg2ww thanks for responding! Yeah, the complaints of call quality are the only thing keeping me from buying this unit. Otherwise it is so perfect for me as far as features. Keeping my eye on this though. Hopefully Atoto gets the mic issues sorted!
My quality sounds good when connected to Apple car play. Just when I use Bluetooth is when it’s hard to hear the person on the other line. But then again maybe my volume was down.

That would be completely up to you. In my opinion though, if you have the extra money I’d say do it. It would be less wear on your phone from plugging/ unplugging the cord.
@@Eddrange i use magnetic ports for this very reason, just an adapter that is always plugged into your phone and the USB side is magnetic so there is basically no wear and tear for frequent plugs/unplugs
There is an F7 XE model now for a similar price that includes wireless carplay and aa.
But how is the audio quality. I previously bought an android head unit from Joying and the audio was absolute dogshit. It was so bad it was intolerable.
