I'm actually shocked that the Gauss is stronger. It does have a shorter range, but delivering all damage in an instant is generally better for sniping as well. Of course it has the disadvantage vs forcefields and reflectors, but well-timed shots against the main robots which use those can still dispatch them quickly. These weapons.. Are surprisingly balanced. For now.
If you fire gauss and a shield comes up or the bot goes around the corner the damage either doesn't get registered and the whole shot is wasted. Reaper is better in that case. I was hoping AYGIR would test it against seraph and siren. This analysis was just half the story!
Firing everything in one shot actually has a lot of disadvantages, for example with shielded enemies you’ll have to fire them in short sequence instead of all at once or you wont even do any damage to the robot itself. With gauss same strategy should be used for enemies with last stand as it doesn’t ignore last stand if you shoot all weapons at once for some reason.
@@res6148 that is a valid point, but firing them in a short sequence is still effective then. What I was referring to was times on maps like Shenzhen when you have a split second to hit an enemy as they move between cover. But yeah, I suppose Reaper would be better for what you described.
Reaper ignores last stand which is ridiculous considering it has 1100M range, so obviously its better than gauss 800M range no matter what even if gauss ignores last stand too, but prisma doesnt ignore last stand but still range advantage, also reaper reload time is very slow and runs out of ammo fast so idk which is even better, am just running my erebus prisma cuz thats all i have in live server so
@Warrobotgod69 it's 3 shots from a crisis reaper matches, gauss crisis. So, even if it has to land all hits for full damage, it still outperforms. As robots with force fields will tank the first shot. Reapers also have full defense mitigation.

Glad to know the solid gauss I'm running are at least competitive. I like that all the damage is delivered at once, reaper punches through defenses and has it beat on range but a maxed hit from gauss is no slouch.
like someone said, u want weapons nerfed when u don't have it. but u want it buffed when u have it. so pixonic can't be listening to all the requests. but as hardcore players we all know that pixonic will nerf todays most op weapons to sell their upcoming new weapon. thus cheating the players who bought and invested a huge amount of resources on the upgrades. plus i don't think u have to buy the latest weaps. just improve ur skills, know ur weapons, time ur shots and be patient, arrange ur hangar accordingly for small and large maps and know when to strike.
I bet Pixonic is gonna nerf all this weapons and buff the Reaper, if they do that the game it will start to look really bad for them If they dont and the Reaper would be a new weapon that brings more variety to the game and is balance then it would be amaizing
