    The Walker Naval Yard,it was a long walk from the gate down the bank ,the time duckett was at the bottom.The time keeper used to dock you 15 minutes if you were late.then dinner time you had to go all the way back up to the shop outside the gate for pies.I first went aged 15 ,I worked on the Northern Star liner refit.The launch of the Atlantic Conveyer. sunk in the Falklands War. The Ark Royal fitting out.

    true Geordie, i the 7 0clock buzzer, trolley buses, me old bike with cowhorn handlebars, nee brakes, hose pipe for inner tubes, butter cut from a block, 1 old penny loaf to eat on the way back from the swimming baths, old church street, there were 3 old pennies in 1 new pence

    my old ship HMS Victorious Built in 1939 on the Tyne at Vickers, Wonder if that was the A/carrier coming off the ways God bless Jordie shipbuilders through the century Went through the war hit by Kamikazi Then burnt out by a water heater and scrapped 1968
