Garth is good...but these 2 here really are special. This song has more meaning than ever to me and this version is my new favorite. 15 months ago I lost my wife of 35 years...the last few were hard but I would do them all over again if I could. Thank you girls, I needed this today.
All I ever ask of a cover is that it does the original justice, even if it isn't exactly the same as a cover. The cover should reflect the singer, and you guys sang The Dance with perfection.
I'm sure these two are feisty as hell, but I am damn glad for the tenderness that still lies in their hearts and souls. Love the power they get out of the simplicity of the arrangements.
As always, ladies, an exceptional performance, nothing beats sibling harmonies. The key element for me (aside from your stunning talent), which always conveys itself when you look at each other, is the pure unbridled joy you get from playing music together whatever the venue. Also, congratulations on the Grammy nomination.
Thanks for playing one of my fave Garth Brooks songs, blues sisters. You guys are always so good, but I particularly enjoyed your solo, Megan. It shines like the sun. 👍👍👍👍👍 Hope you guys play Black Water some day; it seems like other LP fans would like to hear that one too. Also, thanks for recommending Rival Sons in one of your other videos. Rebecca, your praise for them is fully warranted. I really love Jordan on the Head Down album. It reminds me of what Johnny Cash's brother said when he was dying after a terrible accident, "I’m going to the light.” Then he said, “Can you hear the angels singing? Look at this city, this beautiful city, the gold and all the jewels, the angels. Listen, Mama, can you hear them?” I heard it in Jordan. 👍💖🎸😎
I hadn't seen this video until it appeared in my YT recommendations, today. "The Dance" is my favorite Garth Brooks tune (What can I say; I'm a hopeless romantic.). Thank you, ladies. You made a fine work of it, as usual. If I may make one small suggestion: Each of you should wear a tiny lavalier microphone clipped to the neckline of your shirts (I'd recommend the Sennheiser ME 2), to compliment the single stereo mike positioned downstage and between the both of you. The mic cords would be threaded beneath your tops. The resulting vocal mix would be much improved and the lavalier mics would also add a tiny bit of needed separation to the instrumental tracks. (This is just one man's opinion, mind you.) Thank you again. Stay safe and take care of those you love.
The dance is my absolutely favourite song of all time I want it played as my funeral song didint think anyone but garth could sing this song I didint like larkin poe version at first but more I listened to it I must admit they do good job
I'm so happy Amazon delivered self made man yesterday it sounds so good you got a question going to the show if it happens in September in Los Angeles any chance of being able to get an autograph on the CD can't wait to see the show
I’ll have the 8 track please 😉. Can’t beat a physical copy. If you can’t hold it do you really own it? Just playing devils advocate since all my music is digital, but it’s a legit question. The 8 track will return haha.
You’re a genius I totally agree with you on physical copies. I never was much of a fan of 8-tracks, but I sure did cassette tapes before CDs came out. I always have and always will love vinyl albums. However, living in the modern age as we do I will admit to owning quite a bit of music on iTunes. By the way, almost all of it is music that I also have a physical copy of sometimes even on multiple formats. With that being said I will also reply to the “Do you really own it on digital” part of your comment by saying that it is my opinion that you DO NOT actually own it. I have had multiple tracks (and at least one full album) that I purchased on iTunes that are no longer available. The artist (or whoever else) pulled them from iTunes and they are gone. The only exception is if you have the music saved to the hard drive of a device. If you only have it stored in the iCloud you lose it completely. Honestly, it currently seems to me that Apple is trying to prevent people from storing music on devices (plus the fact that they really push their streaming service) because I have purchased several new releases the last few months on iTunes including the Larkin Poe (just got my CD in the mail today), and every purchase I’ve made from iTunes I download it to my iPhone at the time of purchase. I few days later I go to listen to it in my car on my way to work, and it’s back in the cloud needing to be downloaded again.
I wonder if you amazing ladies take request? Tom Waits... Come Up To The House...or Georgia Lee.. I wonder your interpretation..on these beautiful songs.
It's like red wine, it's geting better and better every time I listen

Love that version of that song; the lap-steel, the duo , I just love Larkin Poe's sound.
All I ever ask of a cover is that it does the original justice, even if it isn't exactly the same as a cover. The cover should reflect the singer, and you guys sang The Dance with perfection.
Superb!
They never miss. There's no need for drugs or alcohol when the blues sisters perform. 👍👍👍

Tom Waits... Come Up To The House...or Georgia Lee..
I wonder your interpretation..on these beautiful songs.
Really Beautiful Ladies!!!! xo
I think I fell in love, again..
Sweet lap steel....Rare and wonderful to see a lady playing.
what brand guitar is Becca playing?
OMG!!!
Superlative - no superlatives left ... interesting how you play A major without muting the E string :) xx
I mean E is in the chord so it's not really a big deal if it rings out but it looks like shes muting it with her thumb most of the time I think
I'm watching at 1.337 views, nice.
👏❤️🥳🤘🌟🔥😍
