That's why I think that during their s3x scene , there was a single tear drop on Dexter's cheek of pure happiness, that Emma finally conciously and willingly chose to be with him.
Ohhhh get ready, girl! Those last 2 episodes are insane. I couldn't figure out where the story was going either... The feelings between them both were always there. It was obvious. They just simmered under the surface. This episode, they decided to let them burn. Timing was finally right.

Maybe you can make poll here and ask everybody if they also wanna watch your full lenght reactions on Patr3on or wherever. What I like about this show is the realness portrayed in them. God I don't know how many friends I have and had that has a similar story to theirs one way or the other. And guilty as charged, I am one of them. 🥰💔❤🩹🤍

I know its a fictional story and tugs at our heartstrings, but in reality, being with a friend like Dex would be traumatizing for any girl, and it'd be best if the friendship ended permanently. How long can someone be dragged along like this. Loved this series though, wonderful acting by both the actors.
Blaming Dexter alone is not fair. Had their romantic relationship happened at any point during their youth, when Dexter was still fucking around and growing up and Emma’s professional life and self confidence was in the gutter, they would’ve broken up. That’s the beauty of growing up. Emma’s doubts and insecurities would’ve sabotaged them just as much as Dexter’s immaturity. But they still couldn’t completely rid themselvles of each other even if they couldn’t make it work. So friendship it was.
it's unfair to blame Dex for everything. Emma always gave mixed signals aswell. Dexter was basically flashing neon lights that he wanted her and she kept pulling back. Idk why tbh. Her confidence wasn't that good and she had a bad relationship with her body. Dex is also awful don't get me wrong. They both played an equal part to the delay and they both piss me off for it. I hate a miscommunication /push and pull trope.

But it just hurt to see Dex use Emma as a last resort person whenever things went bad for him; like he was falling apart and he ended up calling her while she was enjoying a date, he went into drugs and told her "those who can't, teach". Of course, Emma wasn't without her flaws, she has always been a bit judgy and was closed off. But I felt that Dex was insufferable sometimes, his mom did have a point, that he's born into so much privilege and he's taking it all for granted. But yes I understand what you say, and your interpretation is correct as well.

I guess at the end of the day it's a story about two deeply flawed people. I don't want to go in too deep about a novel, but boy it's much better to open up about your feelings and get rejected, than be tagged along year after year, hoping to get them some day, it's outright disrespectful to one's self.

Very true. As she said, if they were in the 80s, she was head over heels. but now she absolutely have a choice and made that choice.
