I think in DoFP it's Sentinel theme overall. They were developed to adapt to each mutant, so yes, they use Mystique's cells, but I think it's just one single Sentinel for the whole intro. So no Mystique to Sentinel transition. Just a Sentinel using various mutant abilities.

Granted, X-Men The Last Stand comes close, but there's no beating the theme of the first three, because it is epic, you can hum to it, and it makes the X-Men sound like a group of epic heroes, not wannabes.
Watching DOFP in the theater was really emotional, starting with the fact that I haven’t heard the X-Men theme song and a respective intro like the other ones since I was like 10 (last time I saw X2) and I was like “YES” when the intro ended. Really good movie.

Now that is a good list. But as much as I think The Last Stand is underrated, I would still put First Class over it. It's wonderfully fun and ambitions. It's the start of the best prequel films ever made as far as I'm concerned.
It's a shame we won't hear the iconic theme anymore once they release the first MCU X-Men movie :( We'll be stuck with the same old Marvel Logo animation with some music playing in the background. They'll probably make an orchestra of the Animated Series theme, that would be cool actually, but I wish they'd mix it in with the X2 / DoFP / Apocalypse theme too somehow.
Well the X2 theme was only present in the movies directed by Brian Singer. Other movies directed by other directors had different themes (including the latest one).
I think they should use the normal marvel studios intro, then they should put the very beginning of the movie (as they usually do) , then something happens and the X2 theme starts playing along with the classic X-men intro, the title of the movie and in the end the cerebro's door. Then the movie officially begins. Sorry for my English 😅
While X2’s theme is the quintessential film theme, the last stand’s theme is so underrated as well. If they could somehow combine both it’d be perfect.
I love how the x2, dofp, and apocalypse themes sound so much like the 97 theme that you could use them interchangeably and think of both as the xmen themes.
The trains, WW planned, Nazis and Soviets in apocalypse..the travel through time and the evolution are perfect for apocalypse, could have shown nukes/wmd and the same would have suited First class since it was set post WW / cold war scene
Lol Bryan Singer came back and was like “Yeah X2 is the one. We’re just gonna use that from now on.”

4 X-men:The last stand
5 X-men
Now that is a good list. But as much as I think The Last Stand is underrated, I would still put First Class over it. It's wonderfully fun and ambitions. It's the start of the best prequel films ever made as far as I'm concerned.
My ranking:
Days of Future Past
X2
X-Men
X3
Apocalypse
1. DOFP
2. Apocalypse
3. X2
4. First Class (not really the intro, but the theme music in that film is incredible)
5. Last Stand
6. Xmen
@@LukeLovesRose They're talking about the intro.
I laughed sooo bad when i saw the "Star Wars Yoda" at the end instead of "X" symbol!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I see Vader 😂
Almost cried on the theater when the x2 music sounds in days of future past..
I get goosebumps every time I hear the x2 intro, days of future past and apocalypse the best intros in my opinion
I love all of the X-Men themes but X2 is the ultimate one that still gives me chills and goosebumps to this day
X2's intro cannot be beaten
Love how parts of the Days of future theme had a futuristic and bass feel to it
Who has been back here to hear this iconic voice since the MOM trailer dropped?
And he died…
Admit it, Apocalypse’s opening would look amazing as a VR roller coaster or just as VR
i love the Xmen 1 theme so much.It gives a feelimg of the otherwordly...of new discovery
The X2 style is by far the best, happy they brought it back.
Laughing at the sudden appearance of Yoda at the very end. It was all leading up to him -- the ultimate mutant. lol
I don't care if it's simple the x men theme will always be superior to the marvel theme and I'm sad we won't see it ever again
bruhhh woah!!!!!!!!
Evan Peter's Quicksilver appeared in Wandavision! We finally have our first MCU X-Man!
Can’t believe that this Fox X-Men Era is really gonna come to an end in June tho
And it went out with a pile of poo. Disgusting.
While X2’s theme is the quintessential film theme, the last stand’s theme is so underrated as well. If they could somehow combine both it’d be perfect.
X-men 2, X-men: first class, X-men Days of future past and X-men Apocalypse my favorites
Alexis Yañez basically all of them 😁❤️❤️❤️
Last stand and apocalypse was trash
zombiekinggamer last stand was
Apocalypse really wasn't
Twilight Sparkle Disneyland
Agree. Neither were trash for me though. For me Origins Wolverine would be trash. Nothing is worse than that.
the first class intro compared to the other ones was like "no mom- I'm not getting out of bed today"
but then it was also my favourite movie sooo
I still remember how I got the chills seeing the Days of Future Past opening
X-Men always have the best intro of all comicbook movies. Iconic, creative, artistic and powerful
X-Men 2 and X-Men Days of Future Past are the best ones yet!!!!
beautiful bro, thank you very much, this made me happy the day, it's so exciting
I like apocalypse because it shows every major event throughout history for a brief second, like soviet union, WWII, 911 and heaps more.
Xmen 3’s theme is heavily underrated
IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING!
Amazing all intro in X-Men movies
This never gets old...
Seeing Apocalypse's intro in IMAX 3D back in 2016 was awesome experience. I wish all the movie was that great :/
Just imagine if dofp and apocalypse were in VR in the theater.....
That would be amazing
Xmen apocalypse intro titles is the best one
