- Welcome to The Complete Story of Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode Intermission, a DLC episode dedicated to Yuffie Kisaragi and her mission in Midgar, whose events run parallel to the events of the main game. Aside from the controversy surrounding DLC in general and the fact that this particular episode was made exclusive to the PlayStation 5, Episode Intermission has received some raving reviews for its gameplay and graphics and here we are to celebrate it’s story. Considering how Dirge of Cerberus was received and how it pretty much tanked, I'm genuinely surprised that they're tying it into the remake

I really think they are pushing Sonon into being a retconned Azul from Dirge
That sure would be... something. Don't saying I necessarily hate the idea but they would have bridge that gap well to really sell it.
@@BirdsOfPlay It's Squenix, they can make it work over him just being another "wanna be solider." Plus it would give Deepground more of a footing going forward with the remakes so there's a reason to involve them way before we get to what would be Dirge.
I do hope we get to see Deepground in some capacity in the "main games" just so that we don't have this parallel "DLC land" that only affects itself. Looking forward to seeing how it all pans out!
So mad this was a PS5 exclusive. Yuffie was always my favorite.

i cant help but love Yuffie. she is such a fun character. though Nayo takes all the attention lol.
It will be curious to see how much of the supporting cast will return, and in what way, as the Remake saga unfolds! But yeah, Yuffie is great!

This makes me wonder if the plan is to connect all the stories in a more coherent fashion this time. But even then there’s open possibility for a ton of things because of the new way they’re telling it.
For example I don’t think sonon was ever an original character. And I don’t think yuffie learns about Nero until Vincent does in dirge of Cerberus. And then lastly I could’ve sworn Nero and Weiss are supposed to wake up way later towards the end of 7 when meteor gets dropped. So if they’re awake now and the fate ghosts are dead I wonder if we’ll see them take on a earlier villain role maybe this is something so planned by sephiroth
This DLC definitely makes you expect them to incorporate these elements into the larger narrative. I for one am all for it.
@@BirdsOfPlay I’m with you especially because the original story is so scattered and the final fantasy community is pretty toxic towards some of the other games like dirge of Cerberus. Now people will get to experience stuff they may have not seen and us who’ve seen it all get a new experience of seeing how it’s all weaved in together

Thank you for this. I just bought Rebirth and I wanted to make sure I get the entire story synopsis before diving deep into it. I really tried to get into intermission, but Yufie's harrowingly cringey dialogue made it impossible for me to do so. This really helps lol

The remake ruined my interest in the games. It was 40 hours long with 15-20 hours of good content and the rest is padding and filler. Then the story is changed so badly that it becomes nonsensical.
Tried playing this game. Ran into a random encounter wolf trash mob dude in chapter 1, 2 hours in. it had 21 thousand health while I was doing maybe 20-50 damage attack, while it did 900 per attack. Died to it 5 or 6 times, to random trash mob, giving up on it. When 1st mission trash mobs need you to grind, that's too jrpg for me....
