I ❤ my Teslas! No better car in the world. Although the Philippines doesn’t have the charging infrastructure yet. Not sure how Teslas will work in South East Asia
I have a Tesla in the US and can easily say it's the most amazing car I've ever driven. So fast, safest cars in the world, and most amazing software and self driving on the planet. It gets better every few months with new features from software updates.
@@manila.manila there is no oil to change. Breaka are rarely used as well due to regen breaking. Just tire rotations. Wiper fluid. Wiper change. Air filter change. All you can do yourself.
@@John-vh3ig actually, every SM, Megaworld mall, and Ayala has EV charging stations. Even free for some. You just have to pay for your parking stay. Tesla has a charging station in Uptown. Full charge is about ₱1140 only. Pretty cheap. I guess because these are all introductory offers.
There are charging station in shell gasoline stations. I saw someone took their wuling mini ev to Baguio and charged their EV at a shell gasoline station in La union.
You need to plan your travel for this car. But I think there's a regular plug for it, for a regular outlet, in case you need an emergency charge. Not 100% sure. But BYD has that.
WARNING: If you're driving Tesla EV car in the Philippines 🇵🇭, better not be caught up in heavy rain, deep knee water or flood, or else, you wasted your million peso money 😆
To those worried about charging. It has 300 miles range, especially in city driving, and it comes with a charger to charge from home using any wall outlet, you should be good driving for a few days before needing to charge again. There's also a supercharger in BGC that will charge it in 20 min, with more charers coming soon.
That’s the problem, Charging Stations, it’s a concern for those who live outside BGC, and for Long drive it’s quite an inconvenience, and believe me as a Tesla owner for years now, 300miles is not 100% accurate as it depends on your driving habits . So if I intend to go somewhere in Ilocos from Manila a Super Charging station is a must.
summon is separate functionity of the vehicle. FSD is seprate also. autopilot is also separate. When during using FSD, and going to enter the high, it switches automatocally to autopilot. together with FSD working. maybe someday, it will work together as one driving mode. 1. Summon, 2. FSD, 3. Autopilot/FSD, & 4. Autopark
I've noticed several comments here saying things like, "Electricity is very expensive," and "self-driving technology is useless." as we all know we are just starting to get these technologies and sooner we will have super chargers, of course they will put that kind here too no need to worry about these things. This kind of mindset restricts us from having advanced innovations in the Philippines. Some people tend to criticize new technologies instead of embracing them, showing a preference for immediate value over long-term innovation. This perspective is similar to preferring restaurants that offer unlimited rice because it's cheap and filling. It's no surprise, then, that there is resistance to adopting new things. lol
I have 2 Tesla .. about to get a Rivian or BMW next year but we got so spoiled w Tesla tech including FSD so will get a Cybertruck instead. I suspect Tesla will become a hit w tech savvy pinoys.- nothing can compare w the amount of tech in it - Manila is small area and EDSA traffic is nothing as it does not deplete battery much
The biggest concern is that electricity is very expensive in the philippines. Otherwise, its very efficient. Not much energy used during gridlock traffic. And does better on floods than most ice vehicles.
That's not an issue. It's not expensive for the "rich pinoys". Do you realize your post? These rich people pay an average of P30K to P150K in their monthly electricity bill.
Almost useless yang self driving feature nyan andaming kamote na sumisingit hahaha pag na detect baka mag auto brake yan at yung nasa likod babangga sayo Babaan sana ang tax neto at taasan ng tax ang lahat ng chinese ev
Disturbing difference of electricity and gas: electricity is cooling towers while gas is like idk but something like flammable and good scenting liquid
I am surprised they are selling in the Philippines. Love the Philippines but it won’t be a high volume market. I guise they are close to China and can import their vehicles fairly cheaply. But on the other hand there are continual issues with China attempting to take Philippines land. Samalot Elon. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Tesla's market plan includes developing counties too. Though opening a manufacturing plant in South East Asia was cancelled. Hyundai Ionic is already here in the Philippines. BYD Electric was launched last September.
Kawawa naman mga importer na ang taas magbenta nang tesla nila 😂, andto na store ni tesla benta niyo na palugi tesla niyo, sana magkaron nang maraming ev charging gang bicol to cagayan

How about the vehicle maintenance? I heard Tesla doesn’t need oil change?

@@manila.manila it's true, there's basically no maintenance, until around like 60k miles Tesla recommends cleaning/lubricating the brakes.
nice Tesla 😊
The very important thing is very limited chargers in Manila. Mostly you have to charge it at home....for now. My guess.
You will eventually go home at the end of the day.. so these is a daily chance of being able to charge..

Ang charging area nila sana marami .
to get to a charging station a few km away will take 2-3 hours due to traffic. huwag sumabay sa uso.

The BIG issue is outside BGC Charging Stations. Philippines is not quite ready. Been a Tesla car owner here for years

Can sommon function work here in PH? In sommon, you can call or move this car from where it parks, and where you are standing with-in meter range...?
It’s possible, since that function is a standard feature in Model Y. As long as there’s a clear line of sight between the vehicle and the driver.
I don't think so, summon is available with FSD only, at least in US.

Yup. But based on electricity price dito, mas mura pa rin s’ya nang malayo compared sa gasolina.
