No, IMHO opinion it's never worth it. Ever. Even if you have the money. For a number of reasons -
    1. You're in Thailand! Get out of your hotel room and go do something fun. We pretty much just sleep and shower in any hotel room we stay in. Seldom use the pool. Why would you when you have so many great beaches nearby? Get outside and do something! What are you still doing in your hotel room? 😴
    2. The more expensive hotels get, the more generic they become. They try and pride themselves on some unique feature, but at the end of the day they are pretty characterless and bland.
    3. Also the more expensive they get the less they reflect local culture. You end up.staying in a resort that could be anywhere in the world. What is the point of that? You may as well have just gone to a 4 Seasons in your own country - chances are its pretty identical.
    4. Thailand is about the people, the culture, the chaos, the experience - you'll have a much more interesting experience staying in a locally-owned bungalow while saving tons of money you can spend on adventures.
    5. The people who stay at these kind of resorts are boring AF. And mostly rich dickheads with new money who think they're amazing. You'll meet better funner people elsewhere.

Luxury beachfront resorts are something my home country doesn't have. So it is definitely worth for the experience to spend couple of nights like that from 2-3 weeks vacation. We are traveling for new experiences right?

@@olliraki7116 oh for sure. I jammied a 14 night stay at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives through a friend of a friend (I could never afford it normally even on a 6 figure salary). Was it absolutely magic? Hell yes. About as close as you can get to being Richard Branson on Necker Island as you can without being Richard Branson. Incredible experience. And if your idea of a holiday is just hanging by a pool in nice weather in luxury then sure, nothing wrong with that sometimes. But I will still stand by my points for the demographic of this vlogs subscribers - 5 star resorts are nice but pretty bland. The IMHO (In My Honest Opinion) bit is intended to convey this is just *my* opinion. Others may disagree and thats fine 🙏
