Thank you as always Rob, for your kindness, it was an excellent day, and provided a much needed intake of steam, with the weather being a large contributor to a wonderful day out....Bob
Well done Bob. So glad that the weather was kind. It allowed you to make one of your best videos yet. It was great to see those little locos pushing up the inclines. Bags of steam. Great. And it was good to see lengthy shots which allowed us to see human interaction with the railway. Thanks for posting. This one was special too.
Wow! looked a great event Bob, and the weather was nice too! - I loved how everything looked so immaculate and pristine, almost to the point it all looked brand new. The two engines looked in Mint condition with proper nice paint jobs on each. Well smart. Best chap around to capture it too...Excellent :-)
Thanks as always Austin, the weather certainly added to the enjoyment, and a sniff of steam was long overdue, so all in all a very enjoyable visit.....Bob
Thanks very much for your kind comments, and the information regarding the GE Saloon. I hope this was a successful weekend for the Railway and I shall be up again for the Autumn Gala.....Regards...Bob
Thanks again, it's refreshing to see industrial locos working in the right environment, and as part of a World Heritage Centre, they work very hard to get things looking their best....Bob
Thanks Keith, my first outing for a while to film steam, so it was a wonderful treat, especially in sunshine, which is something few of us have seen of late. The corner logo has become necessary as my work is being used by many sites, so it ensured the owner is known....Bob
Enjoyable video Bob, these 40's galas are very popular and has hopefully boosted this lines finances. Nice to see the locos working hard in the industrial setting
We managed to get there by 09.30 Alan, and just as well, the clouds soon came, but I was still lucky to have some throughout the visit...Thanks as always...Bob
Thanks Jamie, the stop at Big Pit is the latest addition to the line, and allows visitors to see the wonderful Big Pit Mining Museum seen at 07:40....Bob
Thanks Jeff during these hard times, they have do put on whatever brings in the customers, and these war time weekends still bring them in as you say....Bob
Very enjoyable Bob. I really enjoyed the video. Had planned to be there myself on the Saturday but other events took priority! I like the new NER coach. Thought No19 wasnt going to stop at Blaenavon HL!
Good to see some sunshine to accompany those lovely locos working hard. It's a major problem for the P and BR, it's so high up that an overcast day along the coast can be thick, miserable mist up there. Always take at least one more layer than you think, and a waterproof!
Thanks John, I have had several pieces of my work used without prior permission, whilst I don't mind anyone using it, this bottom left title ensures they know who the author it....Roll on February and March...temperatures were up to 27 then without the rain....Bob
Thanks very much, and I'm delighted you've enjoyed my coverage of this excellent event....If you's like a DVD, then please sent me your details privately and I shall be pleased to send you one.....No charge!...Bob
Decided to take Tommi for a picnic, and a great time was had by all. He was following me around with his own video camera...No stopping him now.....Thanks again for your wonderfully warm comments Paul.....Your mate....Bob

The choice of equipment is immense, and the initial setting up costs can be considerable, I started with mini DV cameras which can be bought on EBay for relkatively small amounts, HD cameras are more expensive ..it's up to you what you want and can afford......Bob
