Newbie here with only a few hours into the game. This was a real slap in the face. As someone who mainly goes top lane, I really felt the “if you stay in top lane while drednaw is up, you’re the reason you lose” because I almost never leave my lane
@@immortallyon8386 no, don't even attempt to score on the 2nd goal. It's the first goal you should consider not dunking out. Being up that far is just asking to die and give over 2 levels of catch up xp for what possible gain? 30-50 points? Meaningless.
This!!! I spam messages and people will still be at top or killing trash... thats when Im happy my voice chat is auto disabled because I get so frustrated when this happens....
So, as the meta develops I'm realizing one possible issue with this strategy, which is for sure the best strat right now. It's dunking after zapdos. If the enemy central goal is open after taking zapdos, you can move as 5 and easily push off the enemy team all but gauranteeing your entire team dunk which is 500 points. If you don't have access to the center goal, it forces your team to split up, which gives the enemy a chance to intercept you outnumbered with their unite moves up possibly and stop 200-300 points from scoring. It's possible that 5 manning after dreadnaw with the unite move advantage to destroy a 2nd goal zone might actually be meta. The point in the game where your team is level 9 and theirs isn't is the biggest power spike in the game and with buddy barriers and no base springboard yet, I think it's completely reasonable to 5 man take out a tier 2 goal zone thus ensuring you get a safe dunk after zapdos later on and removing the max amount of counterplay. If you don't use your unite move there, then what are you using it for? Rotom? Pointless fights? Additionally, something that I don't think sees enough priority is red and blue buff although I'm not sure how much they actually make a difference. Theoretically though, red should help kite and fight the enemy while blue should make taking dreadnaw/zapdos faster. I'd love to see some numbers on those things but it might be worth fighting over at some stages in the game or timing so they come up when you can take them right before dreadnaw/zapdos.
I’m veteran 3 and it’s unbelievable how many idiots play this simple game. From the junglers never leaving to help out lanes to people abandoning winnable dreadnaw or Zapdos fights…it’s crazy
Yee. I mean I imagine there's a lot of kids playing this game. And I can definitely feel a difference in my matches, when I'm playing against seasoned gamers vs kids. I don't even have maxed items, but you don't need em for 10 year Olds lol. Everytime I obliterate someone on a Poke like Talonflame or Slowbro, I can't help but think, "hope i didn't ruin some kids PokeDreams today."
Coming from other mobas I was already in the camp of early game scoring not being that important, if you can sneak in and get a couple cheeky scores or if your lane just gets massive push than great but it shouldn’t be a priority over farming
I totally understand drednaw and zapdos being key, but if the enemy isn't guarding the goal properly, and I have no other objectives to be worried about at that point, I'll certainly go drop a 50 in the 2nd goal to collect that experience and put myself ahead for the Zapdos fight.
@@Verlisify what if there is no risk? I'm saying like, I'm already ahead and there's 3 or 4 showing on the other side and I know I can auto-pop the others. I certainly don't do it often, but I think there are some games when it can help you continue a snowball.
@@Iamyourboo2 Bad habit since those opportunities appear less and less in high level play and if there are 4 others elsewhere then a team fight is probably more important. Even if you kill the 1-2 people that stop your score its still eating a lot of time and ruining tempo

I’ve hit a wall at expert 5, I’ll get terrible teammates who don’t go for dreadnaw and go for rotom instead, don’t help in team fights and just play a single lane the entire game
Even more frustrating is that people use the pokemon that they like not the required roles to balance the team, there's this one round where everyone choose like fan favorite pokemon like charizard, greninja, zeraora, garchomp and I was like who tf is going to support and tank the hits? So I had to sacrifice my first choice and pick Slowbro
I got to Ultra rank as a solo queue player today and it's crazy how many people still don't go for drednaw, I always tried to get in the top lane just so I could be the one to rotate down like you showed haha. I also think a lot of people choose poorly when zapdos spawns, still get people using their unite move roughly 30 seconds to a minute before it spawns then instantly attacking zapdos so all that happens is enemy respawns, flies into central area and uses their unite moves to wipe team and steal zapdos, doubt I'll get to master as solo queue but happy I'll be getting 15,000 tickets for my item upgrades ready for next season, I hope the game gets rebalanced so the early goals mean something and some pokemon like lucario get damage values reduced
Watch a game of the #1 PU team.. they send snorlax bot with a ranged adc and push to steal the opposing sides camp... denying them. By the 4 minute mark they had the 2 bot towers down and a 5 lvl advantage.. was savage

Scoring really depends, it's dumb to do it while being 50 levels lower than the opponent but it's good for having more space between goals meaning more time for them to get to your goal, also idk why In the live game you went to kill zap, they were able to steal it, so when you are winning you should just defend. Not only is it good but its funny just watching them try to score
How can I stop people from stealing my rotoms I do 95 percent damage to the rotom and they come in and my auto targeting targets them and they somehow steal rotom
When I was newer to the game I was like "Dreadnaw gives exp, health and a shield? It's probably not much then" since other mobas it's usually a good idea for such things, but it's usually not this much of a boost. Then when I got to go to bot lane enough times, I got shocked at how much exp it gives. It really is a massive advantage. It's ridiculous. Makes me wonder if Dreadnaw or Zapdos will get nerfed, or if that's just the main goal of this map. After all there may not be a Dreadnaw/Zapdos on other maps if they add another map to regular/ranked matches, so they may decide to not nerf them.
