Very nice video! Especially liked the german part since I am German myself. Fun fact: did you know that the name welsh originates from the german term welsch which means foreign or unknown. They used the term to refer to the romans settling west of the rhine who where not germans. So in ancient times everybody west of the rhine was refered to as being welsch. When the anglo saxons and many other germans came to what is now england they met celtic people in the west and took the name that was used to them to describe these people (welsch) and the country they lived in (wales). After the roman empire crumbled and the germans crossed and settled beyond the rhine once again the name welsch is now mostly used in switzerland or other regions bordering france to refer to the french.

Plot twist - Romans were Britons (Welsh) but the Roman part were invented by the de Medici family to make it seem as though they were two different people. On the order of the Vatican!

Bremen and Hamburg used to be leading and important member cities of the Hanseatic League during the Middle Ages. Hanseatic League cities traditionally share the colors red and white in their flags and coats of arms. Also the City of Lübeck, over a long period the leading city of the Hanseatic League, bears those colors to this day, the now Polish (formerly German) city of Gdańsk (Danzig) had them.
Bremen, Hamburg and Lübeck btw. kept their status as city states even during the 2nd German Empire (Deutsches Reich) 1871-1918 and during the 1st republic 1919-1933. In the Federal Republic of Germany since 1949 Hamburg and Brenen kept their statehood as 'Bundesländer' to this day (whereas Lübeck became part of Schleswig-Holstein), which makes them play a much more crucial role in the political system of Germany than the Spanish regions for the Spanish state.
Last but not least two more fun facts:
The flag of the 2nd German Empire 1871-1918 were three horizontal stripes black-white-red, combining the Prussian colors (black and white) with the colors of the Hanseatic cities (red and white).
And the area codes on German license plates for Hamburg, Bremen and Lübeck (as well as Rostock, Stralsund and Greifswald later, after the Reunification 1990) begin with an 'H', for 'Hanseatic City' (HH, HB, HL, HRO, HST, HGW).

As you said, after the "reconquista" the ancient spain was divided into 3 kingdoms, castilla, aragon (wich included naples) and navarre. Fernando II de Aragon married Isabel I de Castilla in 1469, the anexed Navarre in the folowing decades and were named by the Pope as the "Reyes Católicos" the first former rulers of Spain as a united state. They also suppotted Colón in his travel to the Indias, so America was discovered under their government

18:24 The flag of Saint Pierre and Miquelon does appear to have an English flag, however that flag is actually the flag of Normandy! When William the conqueror became lord, he was the lord of Normandy and Maine. The 2 lions are supposed to represent that. However, after he conquered England in 1066, he took the flag and added a 3rd lion to it. That flag with the 3rd lion on it remains England’s coat of arms however the original flag with the 2 lions still remains the flag of Normandy.

It's a shame because I think Europe has a lot of diversity while being so "small" as a continent, but because of some historical moments, a certain number countries lost a lot of their cultural features.
For example: in Spain, the now called co-official languages, like galician, where once prohibited outside family or friendly conversations. And a lot of people only spoke those languages and understood spanish.
France is big and has a lot of cultural diversity, but that centralization of power, wealth and culture a few centuries ago cause a lot of damage to the historical regions

Fun fact: on the coat of arms of the Canary Islands are two dogs shown. Well they’re called the “can” or “perro de presa canario” and for some reason there has appeared a controversy between them which made the government of the Canary Islands to remove it from government buildings but it’s still represented on the internationally recognised flag

Reading a book in record time may seem like an impossible feat, but more and more people are attempting it in an attempt to win the title of fastest reader of a book. Called a "speedrun," this activity requires a reader to commit themselves to completing a book in a set amount of time, usually 24 to 48 hours. Several theoretical courses of action are available to achieve such a task, such as avoiding distractions, taking frequent breaks, and reading as fast as possible. The challenge is usually taken with a timed checkpoint system, where chapters are divided for timing purposes. So far, the world record for the fastest book speedrun is held by an American reader who completed the novel "The Catcher in the Rye" at an astonishing speed of four hours and forty minutes.

I am French, the three colours of the french flag weren't chosen to represent liberty, equality and fraternity. It comes from the "cocarde" used by the revolutionaries to recognize each other from the royalists, and a symbol of unity. The blue and the red are the colours of Paris where the Revolution started, and the white was the symbol of the French Monarchy.

According to it's constitution, Spain actually has no state religon, so we are technically not a Catholic country! Culturally however... that's a whole other story 😅

Ah, interesting. There are some other countries similar to this, Turkiye for example isn't officially a muslim country. English isn't the official language of the USA, or England, just de facto, etc. I love these little facts

Sorry, but kiel isn't in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This is the most sparsely populated region in Germany. So we have almost no big cities. The largest are Rostock and Schwerin.

Spain is largely comprised of Catholic Christians (up to 76%), while its population also includes a large Muslim population (4%). Buddhism is not widely practiced in Spain, with only an estimated 0.02% of the population self-identifying as Buddhist. This minuscule percentage partly reflects the absence of significant Far Eastern immigrant communities in the country. Additionally, Buddhism was previously considered a “superstitious” religion in Spain since it was not affiliated with any of the State-accepted churches or religious sects. That said, the Buddhist scene in Spain is starting to grow, with more and more practitioners attending and taking part in Buddhist celebrations across the country.

Spain is a largely Spanish-speaking country, and so the amount of people who speak Hindi is quite low. According to Statistics Spain, less than 0.2% of the population of Spain speaks Hindi as their native language. Despite the small percentage of native Hindi-speakers, the use of Hindi is growing in Spain as more people from India immigrate there and as more Spanish students learn the language. The exact number of Hindi-speakers in Spain is is difficult to track due to the constantly changing dynamics in the country, but it is certain that it is increasing.
