  • November 1922: archaeologist Howard Carter, heart pounding and candle in hand, finally penetrated Tutankhamen's tomb. The discovery hit the headlines in newspapers all over the planet. God bless the pharaoh! He was to set the imagination of our creators on fire. As the treasures of the young king were brought to light, Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery was adorned with ibises, sphinxes and crouching scribes...the thousand mysteries of Egypt like in the Egyptian bracelets (1924) in platinum, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and diamonds, and the Egyptian buckle clip (1925) in platinum, rubies, emeralds, diamonds and onyx.

I was hoping they would use amber coloured diamonds instead, but otherwise, pretty solid and beautiful work!
