Hi Steve, nice work. Do you have any background on the relationship between filter 'Q' and filter volume? I know the greater the volume, the greater the Q, but could do with the maths to link the two!
Sorry don't have access to the maths but you are correct the greater the volume the higher the Q these did not quite work needed an extra cavity on both to achieve 1.6mhz seperation as they stood 7.6 mhz was easy

@ no I only ever made 4 2rx 2tx my tests showed for 1.6mhz 3 a side would be needed for 7.6 2 a side would be effective sorry I did not pursue this project as diagnosed with throat cancer so all on hold be safe
Steve says it's "Vhf manual, circa 1992", but I couldn't find anything. It would be interesting to find a photo of the cover to figure out exactly what version it is.

the rsgb vhf uhf manual from 1990 ish will be posting an update soon the bandspread is close to 7-8 mhz hope this helps
