id say sweetener is a grower, it always has been for nearly everyone it's kinda the popular conclusion. i can understand the criticisms for some of the production, and imagining what could've been but the place that ariana was in after manchester makes sense for the sound
omg i appreciate this album so much "better off" has to be one of my fave ari songs.....i know this album isnt for everyone but thanks for reacting to it!!! hope u do her other ones next
this album is why some ariana fans have a grudge against pharrell 😭 majority of the songs that you guys preferred were made with her usual team! i personally love it but i can see why other people don't- i listen to the live versions of these songs more often than i listen to the whole album bc her voice really does carry a lot of them and even more so when she toured them and switched up a lot of the arrangements
i love when you two just start cackling during these reactions, like it's nice to see you guys be human and have opinions and flow off each other while still being respectful and entertaining !!
y'all really have to react to the thank u, next album or dangerous woman album. They are my top 3 personally. Also i'd recommend listening to some of the songs from k bye for now which is her sweetener/thank u, next tour live vocal album. It was an experience i'd def recommend and it mightttt make u like some of the songs u weren't the biggest fans of!
fr. like what's the point of reacting to the whole album if they will just proceed and listen to the songs under dolby atmos. It feels like they reacted to the album just to satisfy their viewers that requested them to react to the album. This makes me mad and sad at the same time, this is so disappointing as a fan who loves to see youtubers reacting to Ari. I won't be listening to any of their videos reacting to any Ariana Grande and related contents. TH-cam just recommended this to me :(
this album came out after the Manchester attack and she was dealing w a lot of ptsd/depression/anxiety attacks, and she said the way this album sounds is how she wish she felt happy & light. its a sister album to thank u next, and thank you next actually goes into detail on what she was going through
If y’all want more of the RNB sound you’ll love Positions, she had Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet, Leon Thomas, and Muni Long help produce and write! Also The Weekend, Doja cat, Ty dolla sign, and Meg thee stallion as features
Better off or goodnight n go have got to be my favorite on this album she’s literally been my fav artist for as long as I can remember so glad yall reacted to this
This is one of my favorite albums. It was so different and timeless. My favorite songs are better off, goodnight n go, every time, better off, and get well soon. If y’all reacted to more Ariana have to listened to dangerous woman, positions and eternal sunshine. Those two are my top three as well!
idk how long ago they reacted to this but the timeline of events / context of sweetener and thank u, next albums is SO important. she was still with pete when this released but sadly mac miller passed away not long after the album's release which affected her relationship with pete heavily-- which she describes on her album thank u, next
13:41 she is def r&b/pop and trap/pop bc she allllways had r&b and hiphop influences so this is not something new everybody just gave her the pop title because thats what she mostly did but her actual music is really r&b/trap influences and she is really good at it like i dont consider her as a pop singer
Some of these songs I loved instantly and others were definitely growers. I absolutely HATED the light is coming the first few times I heard it and now it’s one of my favorites. She definitely experimented with this album and I think it pays off. Definitely turn of the Dolby Atmos though. I didn’t realize how much it messed with the sound until all the other comments but it fr does
I honestly like SOME of the funky beats. It matches with how her life was all over the place when making this album. It's not her best album but I think understanding she was recovering from a terrorist attack where she last 20 sum of her fans and then getting out of a relationship with a current drug addict (RIP Mac 🙏) helps you view this album better and prepares you for thank you next which I view as one of her best albums.
ive been an arianator since literally the beginning and imo sweetener is NOT her best album and it shocks me when ppl say it is 😭😭 i still love it but its not top 3 at ALL
Please react to the Positions album , one of her best to date soooo slept on . 😭 Also React to Nessa Barretts first album Young Forever I think you guys would be surprised ‼️🤍
45:30 pulling somebody out their bubble means to help someone by pulling them out of their comfort zone so they touch some grass. It makes perfect sense
React to her album ‘positions’ it’s her best album in my opinion and so underrated compared to her other projects, but it’s one of her best! I think it may be your favourite project of hers also! 💯
You guys should react to the Positions deluxe album. I feel like there’s songs you guys would vibe with. There’s also short studio footage from that album for the songs POV, Shut up, and the title track on TH-cam and it’s so interesting to see how Ariana writes & vocal produces so I highly recommend checking those out if that’s something you guys would be into seeing as well. “The making of POV in the studio | unseen footage” “studio footage: “shut up” - Ariana grande” “studio footage: vocal arranging the positions bridge - Ariana grande” are what the 3 vids are called btw 🩵
Okay As an Ariananator/ tiny elephant fan/Ariana grande fan. I really really need go back to first studio album then listen to her Christmas albums during Christmas time.
I’ve only heard one song off this album before; currently 18:13 in and I feel like I’m being pranked 💀 the beat to successful sounds like something from Animal Crossing or a Wii game
Lol I remember listening to this album for the first time so clearly because I was shocked haha I remember being mad bc I wanted to love it😂 BUT because I was a HUGE fan at the time I kept listening and loved it after a couple of listens. I’m not much of a fan anymore so now its definitely one of her worst lol
The tracklist from this album its so confused.. try to listen: Raindrops God is a woman No tears left to cry (video open) Breathin R.E.M Better off Everytime Boderline The light.. Sweetner Sucessful Blazed Pete Get well soon

They will become Thank you, next and Positions boys for sure!
EXACTLY! AND POSITIONS!!
you guys have to react to “positions” next. a lot more r&b influenced sound/production
Hellyaa, positions IS FIRE R&B 🔥
yessss!!! blackiana was in her bag on the album!
id say sweetener is a grower, it always has been for nearly everyone it's kinda the popular conclusion. i can understand the criticisms for some of the production, and imagining what could've been but the place that ariana was in after manchester makes sense for the sound
dolby atmos also ruins it. the harmonies r some of the best parts n u dont get any of it w dolby

apple music really does make the sound a whole lot different i prefer listening on Spotify. Some vocals are muted and it just sounds off in general
they had to turn off dolby atmos
It’s the Dolby atmos, they gotta turn that ish off
@@oldschoolnickrocksturn it off? isn’t dolby supposed to make it sound better?
@@moonlightbae6365 it doesnt tho, they missed god is a woman high note
@@moonlightbae6365tbh it depends on the album, like for some reason ari’s engineers make the layering super weird for dolby atmos
this album is why some ariana fans have a grudge against pharrell 😭 majority of the songs that you guys preferred were made with her usual team! i personally love it but i can see why other people don't- i listen to the live versions of these songs more often than i listen to the whole album bc her voice really does carry a lot of them and even more so when she toured them and switched up a lot of the arrangements
Max martin was the producer of the other half of the album
i love when you two just start cackling during these reactions, like it's nice to see you guys be human and have opinions and flow off each other while still being respectful and entertaining !!
this is bringing me back to simpler days when all i had to do was drive around and listen to music
hold on i didn’t realize these songs were….well i don’t wanna say
I’m CRYINGGGGG at your reactions this is so funny
y'all really have to react to the thank u, next album or dangerous woman album. They are my top 3 personally. ur so real for that take this taste trophy 🏆
yes!
The lows are low on this album and the highs are highs. It's so polarising
NEVER LISTEN TO ANOTHER ALBUM IN DOLDY ATMOS EVER AGAINNNN. like please just listen to the original versions this didn't do the songs justice
fr. like what's the point of reacting to the whole album if they will just proceed and listen to the songs under dolby atmos. I’m sorry but the Pete Davidson song slander got me heated 😭😭
I appreciate the honesty. I do think y’all should listen to her music on Spotify, the album sounded odd for some reason.
this album came out after the Manchester attack and she was dealing w a lot of ptsd/depression/anxiety attacks, and she said the way this album sounds is how she wish she felt happy & light. its a sister album to thank u next, and thank you next actually goes into detail on what she was going through

they did eternal sunshine!

this album is definitely a grower and gets better with each listen but yeah some songs ain’t it lmao
This album has some of her most non ariana sounding music lol. But then it has some of her best tracks to ever exist. I just love this project so much
thank u next is my fave album by her for sure but this one has a special place in my heart lmao
loving the ariana reactions, her past albums are AMAZING
Ahhhhhhh I love this!! Great reaction
why yall listening to Dolby Atmos? it really ruins the production and song experience 😭
You guys should react to Positions Album immediately 😩😩
react to thank u next album or dangerous woman album please

I like every single Ariana grande song BUT blazed (it’s okay but I have to be in the mood for it) and TLIC
fav song off of sweetener is better off. it healed me mentally in some way, the song just gets me i just can't explain it

ARIANA QUEEN OF POP
You need to react to Thank You Next and Positions!! Her best tracks are on those albums
you guys have to react to her live stuff from tours and her live positions album
MIX IT AND MIX IT AND MIX IT AND MIX IT

I honestly like SOME of the funky beats. It matches with how her life was all over the place when making this album. React to more of Ariana’s music POSITIONS NEXT PLEASE (live would even be better)
THANK YOU for being honest & not praising the album just to satisfy your viewers. Arianators swear it's her best album when it's not even top 3!!!
I think it coming after Manchester was a reason why…it was more an emotional connection 🩷
Sweetener’s top 4 for me 😭 idk, I love the experimental sounds! And I was definitely someone where the album grew on me overtime.
girl who?? bc most arianators don't even like the album
ive been an arianator since literally the beginning and imo sweetener is NOT her best album and it shocks me when ppl say it is 😭😭 i still love it but its not top 3 at ALL
“god is a woman” is a metaphor about the power of femininity, you can understand it better if you watch the music video❤️ love the video tho
