Slurry Fertilization and Launching a Root Vegetable Processing Hub | Carpathian Farm | FS 22 | #40

Welcome back to the Carpathian Countryside Farm Timelapse. Today marks the commencement of post-harvest field fertilization. Our choice of equipment includes the powerful CLAAS XERION 5000 tractor outfitted with a SAMSON PG II 35 tank and a BOMECH Multi 4XL slurry sprinkler. Beginning with the largest field, we diligently apply fertilizer. As part of our operation, we introduce the CASE AFS Connect Steiger tractor equipped with a CASE Tiger-Mate 255 cultivator to assist in the process.
Once we've treated several fields, our focus shifts to another crucial task at hand. Among our cultivated fields are potatoes at various stages of maturity, with one plot ripe for harvesting. Additionally, we have plans to cultivate various other root crops. Consequently, we've made the decision to establish a processing center dedicated to these endeavors. Our initial steps involve land preparation, fencing, and the construction of a facility specifically tailored for the production of potato chips.
Financial backing for this ambitious project primarily stems from the revenue generated by our existing enterprises, namely chocolate and sunflower oil production. Furthermore, we facilitate the supply chain by delivering sunflower oil directly to the new processing plant. Additionally, we've invested in acquiring a potato harvester and a loader trailer to streamline the potato harvesting process. Once the potato harvest commences, we transport the yield to our newly established processing center. Concurrently, we are in the process of constructing a new facility dedicated to vegetable soup production, alongside a sizable storage facility to support our expanding operations.
