You know how many times I yelled "stop you're going to screw it up?" Well, you didn't hear me and I shut up after seeing what a beautiful job you did on that platter. Thanks for sharing....
At one point I thought where are you going with this but it all came together in the end, but a very committed and good job...... thanks for your valuable time in putting this video together.
That is absolutely beautiful Andy. Inasmuch as this video is a year old, I'm still enjoy watching these. It's absolutely gorgeous Andy. Thank you for sharing your talents💕 From katrinka🌴
WOW! This piece is truly awesome. I watch SO many woodturning videos, and this has got to be one of my all time favorites. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us, Andy.
I love everything about this! Including the wobbly carnival-ride sensation of watching that go round and round. The lineup of the grain made it perfect! Beautiful. And that little piece at the end was like watching a barnacle get knocked off. Whack!
Job well done....turned out very nice! Like how you adapted your lathe with buffer wheels for polishing....if it saves money, space, and does just as good of a job as the actual tool, then I'm all for it!
Thats one good looking platter. I watched your video in awe because I know nothing about wood turning. What I do know is that it is a beautiful peice and neefd to be shown. Very nice work sir. Thank you
I came across this channel a few days ago in class and now I love watching woodturning vids and I prefer having sound off to just watch the magic happen, now I'm interested in it and wanna make the coffee cup out of wood like you did but for my dad
Brilliant! You went exactly where I was thinking I might go with it. Thanks for sharing! And, I'll make sure I give you due credit when I steal.this technique. Thanks for the inspiration.
Beautiful and eye-catching! I especially liked the care you took to keep the grain direction the same in all the elements. I'm sure I'd have overlooked that important aspect!
Such an underrated TH-camr. You mess with the camera angles to make it seem fluent and completely natural which is a trait not alot of TH-camrs have nowadays. Keep up the great work
Oh my gosh Andy, this project is absolutely beautiful, is it a dish? I'm not sure, I would never put anything in it for fear of damaging it. It's so pretty as an optical illusion piece. I can imagine more of these in different shapes like oval and in different colours, you would for sure be able to show at a gallery, its that beautiful. Thank you for sharing Andy xxx
I did not plan to make use of this woodworking book, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* but instead curious about it. I had been truly amazed right after trying it. I was seeking to learn more about the art of woodworking, and was not disappointed. I found many topics such as wood types and designing your workshop.
This is by far one of if not the most impressive things I have seen. The last video I watched I was critical of the resin color although still liking the piece. This one right here is fantastic all the way around. Very nice my friend, very nice.
Do want has!! It’s a lovely piece Andy, I love watching you work! You’re finished pieces are lovely, and watching how they got there is even just as intriguing!
You're my favorite woodturner on youtube. Theres no talking theres very little music it's just craft and efficiency
Thanks .. 👍
@@AndyPhillipWoodturning so far my favourite too. Btw Andy, have you any plans using Fibonacci sequence...?
You know how many times I yelled "stop you're going to screw it up?" Well, you didn't hear me and I shut up after seeing what a beautiful job you did on that platter. Thanks for sharing....
Aap kaha se ho
one of the subtle things about this piece is how all the grains of the different rings still lined up, very nice.
At 2:58 you can see a small dot on each ring as he mounts them together. So it was clearly both intentional and carefully done.
Thank you I had not noticed
It is a nice piece and one that shows good craftsmanship
Woah! That BLUE! I'm... speechless. Seldom has my favourite colour been staged in such a breathtaking way. Hats off!
It’s called pigment
Or river table
Beautiful effect
My migraines weren't a fan of it while spinning, but when the lathe stopped I was impressed. Very original idea, and like usual a splendid execution!
Very cool piece! I like how you kept the grain continuity across the rings when you put them back together. Thanks for sharing!
Ooh, another Andy vid!! Everything gets put on hold while I watch something amazing get made.
I'm running out of superlatives to praise your work! Lovely as usual.
That looks very nice, almost hypnotizing looking at those rings while spinning. Another piece of art. Great vid!
beautiful & special piece Andy, I envy anyone who owns a piece of your art, you are a master of your craft!!! thank you for sharing
Thank you!
Your platter is trippy as hell when its spinning Andy. Loved how it turned out.
Wood and blue, I love it! I think you were thinking of me when you made this one Andy! Gorgeous!

Absolutely OUTSTANDING Andy and something I have just go to try..thank you so much for the idea and inspiration.
Job well done....turned out very nice!
Like how you adapted your lathe with buffer wheels for polishing....if it saves money, space, and does just as good of a job as the actual tool, then I'm all for it!
I've seen other wood turners use their lathes for buffing. I think the attachments are readily available.
Dude, stop! Watching you work is hypnotizing enough as it is!
:)
It almost starts from nothing and then ends up into the most beautiful thing in the world......good job Andy !
Thats one good looking platter. I watched your video in awe because I know nothing about wood turning. What I do know is that it is a beautiful peice and neefd to be shown. Very nice work sir. Thank you
Spectacular! Love the off set pattern.
Well that played havoc with my eyes!..I was seeing double at one point, fantastic job as usual

Great idea ... two pieces of oak to create those off-center circles, congratulations Andy!
Thanks ..The bottom sacrificial piece was just an off cut of oak faced mdf
I have no idea how you came up with this, but it is very creative and stunning. Congrats! Cheers, Sean
Stunning. Such a very beautiful, clever piece of art.
Beautiful and eye-catching! I especially liked the care you took to keep the grain direction the same in all the elements. I'm sure I'd have overlooked that important aspect!

Always satisfying to watch wood or resin being turned
Oh man......I’ve tripped and can’t get down! Watching that piece turn is kind of psychedelic.
This is beautiful and clever Andy. One day I’ll own at least one of your beautiful pieces of woodwork
Really nice project! Be safe and keep a turning... Greg
