    "Ha" was actually pretty brilliant lyrically. Casual listeners just pick up on the Ha at the end of each bar, but if you listen closely, you can hear the internal rhyme on each bar BEFORE he says Ha at the end. Not too many MCs can actually pull that kind of flow off, much less do an entire song.

      @@MJScoutArchMar can we all agree to appropriately rate the song. There is no genius to it or some underlying inspirational message or even some crazy skill for that matter. But at the same time he did accurately portray niggas in the inner city and rhyme at the same time. It was a nice gritty raw track tho

      The rhyming is not special. Maybe it's new to you. But the content is poetic in its realism.

    Juvenile was one creative, talented dude when you think about it. Go back and listen to some of the songs he released, the concepts, and the cadences in which he rapped. Juve was a beast.

    • @Unmaleable
      @Unmaleable ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As a rapper myself for 17 years Juvenile and Project Pat had what I thought of as impossible cadences. Just the way they said their words and the flow... you just can't reinvent that without either sounding like them or sounding silly. That plus they both have unique voices. I think Dababy comes close with his voice but he's not as creative with rhyming.

We stayed pullin' lines from this, especially, "when you paid you got beaucoup places to go, ha?" because that was totally our young dumb asses. Soon as the check came on Fridays we dipped to New Orleans to go to Bourbon Street and raise hell all weekend.

    Hot Boyz "We on Fire" = "We on Fire (97 Version)"

      If you're talking about in 2021, I agree with you, but in the late 80s to maybe mid 2000s, I disagree with you because the biggest stereotype about East Coast(especially New York) rappers was that they were the only people doing high concept, immersive songs involving method acting. Hell, most of the backpackers from the South and West coast who did that were called "weirdo rappers" just because they were on that "Ha" level when entire albums of that time were just on that materialistic tip.
