Speed is important for tank, speed is important for range control if you have longer range or if you have better tracking or damage, is range control the most important thing?
Just a warning with checking arty vs ACs on small guns, I've reported a bug several times with model replacement where 200mm AC IIs are replaced with the model for the small artillery. So if you see arty it could be autocannons and vice versa.
