I agree 100%. The bodies, and the eagles cry are overused. Hidden blades, Templars, apple of eden, etc. There's many other things they could use as references instead 🤷♂️

1:30 The CS2 map that you showed is a reference to "Villa del Balbianello", which is the place where the Star Wars scene you showed before was captured on tape.
Also the rest of the page shows that it's the script for the scene it's just worn away - you can't make out sentences but it's clearly a call and response script

well references are still a type of easter egg in games just not as easily spotted as actual easter eggs, if something is referencing something maybe a funny qoute or maybe a scene from a movie, it is still classfied as a reference/easter egg
@@Ninja_v2 No it's literally simple. It's just referencing something similar such as, I took an arrow to the knee, but instead it's just an actual joke about anatomy.
In Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 if you have Doctor Strange in your duo, he will occasionally say something like “Is that a kind of magic?”, which is obviously a Queen reference…..and yes, it is Queen this time not Europe! 😜🤣🤣

A cool detail / easter egg I just noticed today is that on Clash of Clans, I had a P.E.K.K.A in my army camp. When I looked back it was walking around my base chasing a butterfly. Then the butterfly despawns and it returned to the campsite. I don’t know how common this is but it was something cool the devs added.
2:20 I'm going with "reading too much into this". Seems like a fairly nondescript way to hold your leg after being injured, and it's no more a reference to Family Guy than any other depiction of someone hurting their leg. I mean, it's not _impossible_ that the developer was thinking of this scene when animating the Achilles statue, but it seems to me more coincidental than referential. 🤷♂
really it is a full on reference to Achilles' heel being that statue is of Achilles that plus the flavor text does mean the downfall and weakness
References in video games are still a type of easter egg in the sense you still have to look and hunt for them

My son keeps asking me why your videos are so short and I had to tell him that it takes quite an effort to find all the Easter Eggs you find and most people can't find them nearly as well as you do. I told him to find the Easter Eggs that you have already found and after a couple of hours he came back and told me, " I see what you meant, Dad".
The name in for the nurse in that's not my neighbor is also a Silent Hill reference. The track Sun from Silent Hill 3's Soundtrack name drops both Xuchilbara (The Red God) and Lobsel Vith (the Yellow God).
I wouldn't even call them easter eggs in the "that's not my neighbor" but just references, since they're not exactly hidden and they're accessible to everyone to see
I would argue that they are Easter eggs given that the neighbors you get through each playthrough is purely by random chance, so you have a chance of never physically seen them at all

In Goat Sim 3, you can find lots of references in the cosmetics. (I don't know if you've already talked about them yet or not) Like one of the hats is a helmet that lets you control a person and do something. The thing that is a reference is the name of the hat is "Saving Private Brian" and so many more. Some you have to unlock, others you can buy.
Now this isn't an easter egg but more of a cool detail.
In Streets of Rogue your goal is to get to the end and become the new mayor by obtaining the mayors hat, there are many ways to obtain this hat and the ending text will actually reflect that.
If you kill the mayor it will say "And so, the Mayor died a horrific death, thus making it impossible to govern with any degree of competence."
If you knock out the mayor it will say "And so, the Mayor slept peacefully on the ground while their position was usurped by a newcomer."
If you threaten the mayor for the hat it will say "And so, the great and all-powerful Mayor succumbed to a threat from some random person they had just met five seconds earlier."
If you just ask for the hat and he gives it to you it says "And so, the Mayor managed to lose every single ounce of power after handing their hat to some random person off the street who "seemed pretty cool"."
And if you win an election it will say "And so, the Mayor was defeated after a long and arduous election process, and ended up being a surprisingly good sport about it."
There are more ways then just these but the ones I have listed are all the ones available for all playable characters.
In that's not my neighbour nightmare mode, there's also two characters that live together. Teutates taranis and ah puch xilbalbá are reference to joey jordison and Paul Gray from slipknot, rest their souls
In Bloodborne, in the hunters dream you can find a book called "How to pick up fair maidens"
I know it's not that impressive but it's funny to find it in Bloodborne

Could the statue’s Goat Simulator Easter Egg be a reference to “Achilles’ Tendon”…? 🤣🤣🤣
In a way. The Achille's tendon is called that because of an old story about Achilles. If I remember it right, he was dipped in special water to make him invincible but the person who dipped him was holding him by the heel so his heel was still vulnerable, leading him to eventually be killed by an injury to the heel. That's also where the phrase "Achilles' heel" comes from.
The silent hill nurse symbols are found on the save points in said games :O

On the Phasmophobia easter egg, those three paintings you get the color sequence from are three sea shells, which is a reference in itself to the three sea shells in the early 90s action movie Demolition Man.

in 2:01 it is an Easter egg because Achiles had a weakness at his heel and that the reason he died in the trojan war

In Infamous second son, if you use the smoke ability and try the smoke bomb on water ( like the founten next to the space needle) the bomb wont explode because its in water. Love this detail
Fun fact: in cult of the lamb if you kill sozo ( the mushroom guy) and butcher them some cool attention to detail will happen

The star wars Easter egg is there because the map references the actual place in Italy where they shot the scene for the film.

On that last one...I'd have to imagine that those three shells are also another reference to the "overused easter egg" of the 3 shells in the bathroom gag from Demolition Man?

It's worth noting too, for the Phasmo one, you unlock a pretty cool profile picture for your character
Now I feel like the Phasmophobia Easter egg is a double reference, because of the three colored shells, referencing Demolition Man

I don't know if you've covered it before, but there's a really nice detail regarding idle animations in CODE VEIN.
If you leave your character idle for about 2 minutes in a bed, they will begin falling asleep, closing their eyes and leaning their head to their left. At around 7 minutes or so left idle, they will turn onto their left side.
Pressing the cancel button from there, your character will get up, and stretch once they've gotten out of bed.
It's a small thing that most players probably wouldn't notice, and it's great that Bandai Namco went out of their way to include it.

In That's Not My Neighbor you can be approached by a clown that gives you a paper talking about a clown, referencing the "This Man" phenomenon where many people claimed to see the same man in their dreams. (Idk if he's talked about this before)

The reason the Star Wars quote is there in Counter Strike, is actually because its the exact place the map takes place in the Movie
I'd say the Achilles one is just a reference to the "Achilles heel" injury, which also makes more sense because he's clutching where the Achilles heel actually is.
Idk if he mentioned it but in That's not my neighbour the youngboys (idk how to spell it) are dressed as slipknot members in the nightmare mode. Its a fun little detail :)
The Phasmophobia Easter Egg with the ghost is probably a reference to the classic Ghost buster movies
3:00 Blizzard also revisited the TMNT later on in the Legion version of Dalaran (and you can get a pet) and in the War Within in which you can find them after Dalaran's fall and reunite them with the rat and get another pet in which it'll wear a headband that'll change coloring each time you summon it. (The Legion turtle pet is called "Young Mutant Warturtle" which could also be a reference to Wartortle from Pokemon)

3:17 In WoW, close to the area of your overused video game easter egg of the week, there's a shark called Segacedi swimming around in a pool of water. It's supposed to be a twin reference to both the Sega CD and the game Sewer Shark, but could also be interpreted as an easter egg to a Game Shark as well, but that might be stretching it slightly.
It's still within The Underbelly of Dalaran, just north of your location.
Not overused, but it's a nice little find.
Oddly, that fallen Achilles statue reminds me of a statue of Achilles with the arrow in his heel I saw at a villa/museum in Corfu

In goat simulator 3, near road that leads to downtown, there’s a basketball court. If you manage to lick a basketball and headbutt it into a goal, golden text stating “KOBEEE” will appear at the bottom of the screen. The trick is to do it just in front of the half court line. It’s kind of tough
So I found a little fun detail in Batman Arkham City, when first finding Joker in the steel mill after fighting Mr. Hammer, you can use the detective mode right before you trigger the cutscene and see Joker still has a calm heartbeat as well as Harley.
I've got an Easter egg in hitman 3. Dunno if you've covered it before, but if you have agent 47 stand on any bathroom scales, it shows 47.0 as his weight.

There is another interesting easter egg in this game and they all take place during chesters quiz, there's a reference to the "meaning of the universe" joke, hairest military soldier being a real monkey (i think?) and there is 1 more i can't quite remember

not my neighbor has another reference that was on screen but not mentioned. one the residents in nightmare mode is named yog-sothoth which is a reference to the elder thing god from the cthulhu mythos.

I’m playing Far Cry 6 and in the mission “Undercover Stud” where you escort Captain Diaz, at some point the game wants us to take cover under a bridge and Dani (the main character) says “I guess this is what trolls feel like”. I feel like that’s a nod to The Witcher 3 with the troll missions or something along those lines.

The Achilleus pose doesn't fit much. Peter holding both hands at his leg while the statue has only one hand on his foot, plus he only holding it gently while Peter grabs it more.
But even if it's not a family guy reference it's still an Achilleus one.(maybe pet cemetery)

@@SweatySheets not necessarily, I mean the wow one missed the masks, pizza and the fighting training but still it's obviously tmnt. That doesn't mean that a single turtle is a tmnt reference either. Just because someone hurted his leg, foot, etc. And is laying on the ground doesn't make it automatically a family guy reference.
@@MaxWeb2599 this is true, but in this particular instance, wouldn't Achilles be destroyed by his heel, not rendered to a man holding his booboo on the ground? It was his heel that got him killed, assuming I'm remembering that story correctly, he's just injured in this video

@@MaxWeb2599 it's not an exact carbon copy in that case, he's getting destroyed from a headbutt to the heal. It was an arrow that caught him and killed him. It makes more the developers would but their twist on the family guy joke, even the writes of family guy did when they made Lois do the exact same scene a bit later, except she hurt her breast instead of a knee. Same way Shark Tale references The Godfather, even tho it's about fish, and fish related

Since the Deluxe Remaster is coming out soon, in Dead Rising 1, if you are able to kill 53,594 zombies, you get a Mega Buster from the Mega Man games. You can also find a Mega Man outfit in the game.
Similarly, in Dead Rising 2 Off the Record, you can find a Protoman outfit and weapon, also from the Mega Man games.
1:50 this refers to the greek mythology where ehe story goes that his mother, Thetis, made him invulnerable by dipping him in the River Styx while he was still an infant. The problem was that she held him by the heels, which were not wetted; this remained a vulnerable part of his anatomy
In the Dead Space remake, there are unique plushie animals on some of the shelves in the small utility closets/rooms. Idk if they're also in the original Dead Space.
