U have reacted to one of my favorite singer Yuna! Love her song especially Mermaid, Decorate, unrequited love, lullabies ❤️❤️❤️ she have mellow voice and laidback voice.
Yuna is a genius singer-songwriter. She might not be the best singer but her prowess is in songwriting and using her voice to be part of the 'sound' and melody. And she has such a soothing tone. Just listen to her song 'Unrequited Love', the first 2 minutes is just her reciting poem (not singing at all!) but boy how it moves!
My favourite songs of hers are Terukir Di Bintang (Engraved in the Stars) --classic Malay style, Crush (best R&B) and Lights & Camera.
Yesss the poem in unrequited love is so damn good and soothing! I really love it

This song is about her mixed feelings towards her ex. At times, she wonders whether her feeling of hatred towards him was actually, love and she was kinda jealous of his new found love. she's among the veterans of Anugerah Juara Lagu @ AJL (Malaysia's annual premier song & lyrics composition competition) . 6 of her songs were the finalists (Dan Sebenarnya; Cinta Sempurna; Gadis Semasa; Penakut; Terukir di Bintang & Lelaki). she sang live for Dan Sebenarnya (and the song won her 2nd Place); Cinta Sempurna; Gadis Semasa & Penakut. for Terukir Di Bintang (which won her 1st Place in AJL), it was Aizat Amdan who sang it on behalf) while for Lelaki, it was Najwa Mahiaddin.
What I can tell you is she's pure Malaysian
It’s sad that Malaysia doesn't celebrate her talent as US. I really love her. She’s very ambitious and natural in her music career. Her passion in music is pure, she’s doing it because she loves it.

yuna is a very super brilliant artist that have her own ways of bringing her personallity or arts in every aspect that are not typical to malaysians and its a very eye opening to new generations that you can go so much further if you have knowledge. for example she is a muslim malay girl that sings jazz & r&b english songs and also write very beautiful and linguistic lyrics from traditional malay in jazz / r&b some think its too much diversity and some think its just fresh and evolutionary. wearing turban if you think its nice on you as well as its consider you checked all boxes as it is your hijab.. nothing typical about her. ambitious, educates, sexy still pleasent, western style but not beatable in her own traditional language. mindset. only matters of time.

We are the same. I need to listen few times before i can say i love the song. And this happened many times when i listen Siti Nurhaliza's songs. I could here all her songs even it was 25 years ago.
