    Great Video! I have been looking for a good messenger bag and decided on the Tenba DNA15 Slim. So far it has met all my requirements; very happy with this bag. You mentioned the noisy Velcro on the outside flap. The bag does come with two 3X3 "silencers" inside the inserts of the bag. Just put them over the Velcro on the flap itself and now the Velcro is totally eliminated . Think Tank bags also do that and this is a great feature to reduce Velcro noise. Tenba did a good job designing this bag. Would highly recommend it!

    Great review. Have had the DNA 8 for 3 years and have been eyeing this now as well for a do-all bag. Love that you showed it a lot without the camera insert

      I definitely like it a lot as a non camera bag. It’s very stylish too. Thanks for watching!

    I bought the DNA 13. I also have an version 1 of the Retrospective 20. I like the style of the Retrospective better but the features of the Tenba better. Removable Shoulder strap, top access, better organization. I use a DSLR and 3 lenses.

      Hey there, I'm sorry I didn't comment back... I somehow missed your comment. Which bag are you using now? Both the bags you mention are amazing bags so I can see it being a tough choice!

    Pulling down on the velcro flap releases the flap from the velcro and makes opening the flap a lot easier. Nice design the samy's camera salesman told me that trick. Good review!

    5 years after the making of this video I drop by and get good use of it. 🤣🤣 Why? Because B & H today has a 50% off sale on the Cobalt color version of it. I compared to the new bags and decided this one still has great possibility at half the price. Cool, thank you.

      Thanks for the note! Might be happy to hear that 5 years later this is still my go-to messneger-style camera bag. I think it's unbeatable, but I admit I haven't tried the updated versions.

      @@KendrickDischCreative You might like to know, in case it offers you new insights as you discuss future bags, that my strategy had to do with a new direction in my hobby Photography turning into hobby Videography. Just sold off my Nikon DSLR and Sony Mirrorless with all sizes of lenses as I downsize to Action cameras and accessories, primarily DJI Action 2, DJI Osmo Action 4, DJI Wireless Mic. Since I don't need my large backpacks anymore, or any backpacks for that matter, a slim messenger sling bag came to mind. Coincidentally, B&H announced the flash sale on the Tenba DNA 15 Slim and you came up in my search to learn about that type of bag. Is that karma or what?! Can't you just visualize every small piece of gear I will be using sliding effortlessly in that bag including 3 small cameras, several mics & recorders, several mini-LED cold shoe lights, and more? Good to hear the bag is still giving you great service, I look forward to trying it out in a few days when B&H gets it here. Thanks for a thorough review video about it.

    Great review. Really thorough. I am considering this bag because of the slim width, but had a question maybe you could help with. When picking the bag up by the handle, and loaded with gear, does the distribution of weight cause the bag to cant slightly off-axis, or is it evenly distributed, so the bag actually hangs straight down? I've tried the Manfrotto Street, and Think Tank Retrospective bags, and both slant because the handle is not in the center. Small issue for people who mainly use the strap, but for annoying as hell for people using the handle the majority of the time. Thanks!

      I’m sorry for the delayed response I thought I’d answered you previously but don’t me reply now. This bag is in storage now and I will test for you when I get it out of storage. My recollection is that it is well balanced and hangs straight!

      @@KendrickDischCreative Hi Kendrick- No worries. I took a chance, and actually did purchase this bag, and I'm very happy with it. Your review provided a good amount of info to help me make an informed decision. Thanks again!

    Can anyone describe the difference between the DNA 15 slim version and the (non-slim) DNA 15? From Tenba's website they both seem to have the same described capacity for photo equipment "Removable padded camera insert protects a mirrorless camera system with 3-5 lenses, or a DSLR with with 2-3 lenses. It will fit a DSLR with an attached 24-70mm 2.8 lens." and judging visually they seem to use the same removable padded camera insert

      Rob Edlin-White I can’t say for sure since I haven’t had it in my hands, but what I think is that it is deeper, like you can fit a camera with a grip on it. Can’t do that with a slim. Make sense?

      @robedlin-white179 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Yes - I guess that makes sense. The Tenba website doesn't give the impression that it's much different.

    PLIS I NEED TO YOU ANSWER ME IF I BUY THE SLING 10L OR THE TENBA. thankss

    • @KendrickDischCreative
      @KendrickDischCreative  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Danta, Depends on how much you want to carry your laptop around and what size it is. The Tenba is great for both items, the sling is better if you just want smaller bag for a camera plus an ipad or an 11 inch laptop. Thanks for asking!

    i'm debating between this and the peak design everyday messenger...

      Tou Yang I’m about to do a review of the peak design 10l sling (great bag!) and I preordered the peak design travel backpack, so I’m a fan of peak design! But this tenba messenger is pretty great! I don’t think you can go wrong with either one!

      Same here but I don't think the peak is worth the premium price over this after 3 years with the Tenba DNA 8
