In regards to you saying that Caitlyn was more lonely than people think. I add this in support. Everyone forgets Caitlyn saying to Jayce (as she sat alone in the rain) "I'm a misfit too" She was definitely lonely. Then I think of how brilliant she was as a detective (analytical mind) and what Singe said; "Loneliness is often the byproduct of a gifted mind"

I totally agree! And just a small addition... she used the word "misfit". Jayce and Cait were both from Piltover, but neither of them really felt like they fit into the world they were born into. That's likely why they became friends and found solace in one another.

1:05:05 the thing i like the most about your reactions is that you're natural and you don't over sell it, you really get invested and excited and share that enthusiasm with us, you give honest opinions and i really respect that. Of course i'm more invested myself if you react to things i'm already familiar with, but at this point if i hear *you* are going to react to an unfamiliar show i would just go and look for myself first, regardless of the content, because i like to see *you* react to that :)

I don't really usually gravitate towards reaction content because usually it doesn't add any value to what ever they're reacting to but with you for instance it's cool to see someone care and take interest and actually want to discuss and disect media
it's the reason I mostly watch video essays about shows, movies, games ect. that I like, your videos sorta scratch that same itch
so its not like "watch and learn about this thing that I like and do it how I want!" but more so maybe this could be something that you will really be into and it would be interesting to know your opinions and analysis on this really cool thing that you've now discoverd
And I mean of course its also really cool to see someone undestand why you love something, but thats just my two cents

I absolutely love this video. Very chill. For some reason I always get very calm watching people draw or paint. Maybe cuz I was married to an artist for 20 years... You asked what type of audience you have thing is I like all of it but I enjoy most seeing you have fun the detail in your reactions, the jokes, all of it when I'm having a really bad day it helps me lighten up. It also makes me think in ways that I wouldn't perceive things or it's nice to see other people's point of view. So I really enjoy all your videos reaction or not... So I'm in the camp of as long as you're having fun we will too.

What hooked me on your Arcane/BES vids was the way you let yourself get obsessed and really broke down the episodes. Especially in season 2 of Arcane where you were doing the 1.5 hour vids. Its much more enjoyable than a 20 min, very performative, reaction (to me at least) and its not really something any other reactor is doing so whatever you do please keep making those!
Also, content like this is wonderful, I found it super relaxing.

I really love watching creative people work.
Some of my fav shows are stuff like Blown Away (glass blowing), forged in fire (weapon making), Glow up (Make up artists) and Mythbusters (science nerds testing if Myths are true or not).
Seeing how a persons brain takes the image in their head and forms it into reality is always so amazing to me.
I would love to have enough money so I could be a patron for artists like there was in yesteryear (and Mama Kirammen in Arcane).

Personally, I enjoy your enjoyment! It's why I watch so many reaction videos and have a soft spot for them. As for possibly delving into fanfiction, I have been writing it since the early 80s and reading it since before it appeared on the internet. That said, while I could be a decent tour guide, I'm also prone towards AUs and epic-length works, which can be intimidating. Vi and Cait are wonderfully suited to many scenarios, as they are layered and interesting. I generally don't lean into canon-adjacent as much (except for aftermath fics, those I love) simply because I loved the original work so much. I will warn you that there is a LOT of work out there to be sure, and that's just on Archive of Our Own!
I love that you’ve been part of the fanfiction world for so long-that’s amazing! And yeah, diving into it feels a little overwhelming with how much is out there, but Vi and Cait really do lend themselves to so many great stories. If I ever decide to explore it on the channel, I might need a tour guide! Or at least is there one you think I should read? 😂

My thoughts on what you want to see on the channel.
I found this channel because I watched Arcane and after the end of the second season I couldn't let go and didn't want to. So I was looking for content from it. I looked at analyses and reactions and that's how I came across your channel. Why I stayed is simply because I liked your detailed analyses and because of your honest love for the characters and the story. Just being a simp is really nice sometimes. With a lot of other reactions it feels more like working off rather than a sincere interest in the series or film. I find your dry and funny comments very enriching and it's also just nice and relaxed. I can't describe it exactly because English is not my first language but I hope you understand.
I would just like to see things that you really like because that's what makes you you. Preferably, of course, things that I have seen or would like to see myself, but that probably won't always be the case. Showing details in scenes, loving characters and stories, being a simp and all with a dry sense of humour is what makes it in the end I think.
And please keep up the chilling art content.

From the get-go, your channel has felt very different from other reaction channels, and at this point I wouldn't even call yours one because you're branching out so much. Your reaction videos feel more like “come watch with me”-style content, which makes them all the more enjoyable to me 😊
It's why I started watching BES when you said you'd be reacting to it, even though I normally only watch reaction content for things I've already seen. It's just a lot of fun watching things alongside you. It can go from analysing parallels and mirroring to -terrible- hilarious peaches or cupcake puns in a millisecond and I love that lol.
Your personality is obviously a big part of that. You're very genuine, enthusiastic and funny, so I love that you're also experimenting with doing these sorts of creative videos and the Q&A and such 🙂 I would say that _in general_ I lean more towards that type of content, pretty much *exactly* what this video is haha, as well as reactions, discussions, breakdowns, that sort of thing. Honestly though, I feel like I'd enjoy whatever it is you decide to do so long as it's something you enjoy. The most important thing is that you keep doing what you love ❤

When I subscribed, I really liked the combination of very detailed commentary and how cheeky the tone and the humor was, and I think the general sentiment is that that and your personality is what's selling the content.
So you can pick and choose according to your own taste and let your content sort of form organically according to what you like and feel comfortable with.
Personally, when you mentioned a writing project made my ears perked up, but maybe that's because I'm also writing my own stuff. Maybe you could read some of your stuff in the future? Or just give us tidbits.

But I'm always intrigued by the swap AUs. Like there was this Piltover Zaun swap with all characters, and one where Vi and Jinx were swapped... so Vi was the one left with Silco. Actually, that was the original plan for Arcane too! It's mentioned in the artbook. Imagine that! 😵

I've been enjoying authentic those authentic, in depth reactions to shows (yes, that includes pausing to discuss every 5 seconds) for two reasons mostly:
1: None of my friends care for BES, so it was nice to share the experience of watching it for the first time.
2: Sometimes I feel like ppl are done with a show after "everyone saw it" and "everything is said about it",
but I still want to experience it again somehow... like with Arcane (or LoTR? *wink wink nudge nudge)
But yeah... animation is peak rn, but I usually get decision paralysis and stuff just ends up on my watch list, because I will get around to it "eventually".
(I am embarrassed to say that I have yet to watch ANY Studio Ghibli movie.)

About what I want from a TH-camr, I think that for me the best definition of your channel is exactly this: watching Claudie have fun and having fun with her.
I think it's fun to be able to see someone reacting to things I like, because it's interesting to see someone else's point of view.
I'm really excited to see your reaction to Fleabag, I know there will be a lot of laughs (maybe tears) and I think there's something fun about being able to laugh along with you, it feels like I'm watching with a friend and that's the magic of it. I think it's all about connection, even in this indirect connection between the audience and the creator.
So in the end it's more about what you think would be cool.
What do you want to do? What do you think is cool? There's a sea of possibilities.

It took me some time to get used to as well, but it's great once you get into the flow of things. The trick is to just stick at it, and start with rough sketches :)

I think what would be best is doing the creative stuffs you enjoy when you enjoy them just like this and not because the channel calls for it bcoz then you might stop enjoying them? Like if something you enjoy starts becoming work and it starts sucking the fun out of them.

1:24:18 - Yeah we think it is real. Because character outlines in Josephine's (the storyboard artist) clip, and the leak match. Plus... there's no way someone could have a half rendered clip. Only up to ep 5 got leaked back in August. And the leaker also had reference videos, storyboards, and renders from other S2 scenes. I saw two of them... one of Viktor and the other was the AU bar scene with Ekko and Heimer. He deleted the CaitVi one first and then the rest.

As a regular convention goer, I love seeing all the cosplayers and have plenty of pics of my eldests with Star Wars cosplayers. He always gets this expression of pure brain implosion from being so excited at meeting idols.

The Cat Distribution System delivered my current kitty to me via a stray giving birth in the boiler room at my work, and he's definately got a couple of Jinx's murderous tendencies!

Love to see the progress. If you do want to react to another animation i would recommend The legend of Vox machina. It's on prime. Professional voice actors turned their DnD game into animated show. It's honestly so great and you don't need to know anything about dnd.
For me Blue Eye Samurai for me is up there with the best episodes of Arcane. As a whole story and the overall message I maybe like it even more (not the most popular opinion maybe).

I agree with you that live action does feel a bit underwhelming lately. I think that's because doing fantasy in live action is very expensive and complicated, so when you compare something like Arcane to House of the Dragon, Arcane feels like it has a more authentic fantasy vibe because everything is created from the ground up. Also the writing is better.
The same with The Last of Us, I think the games were better, and the show had to make quite a few changes in the tone and level of action to make it work. (BTW, this is actually just a shameless plug to get you to check out those games. I think you will love Ellie.)
Also, on the topic of Caitlyn, I agree that she did seem aged up in the second season, but maybe what happened was like an intentional "loss of innocence" thing. She was a very warm and very nurturing character in season 1, even if she still was a cool cop. But man, those roundhouse kicks with rifle combos on the last episode left me speechless. It really painted Caitlyn in a new light for me (before that, I was just a Vi girl).
I think it is the level of strength, combined with how feminine they are in some ways (I mean, Vi's face and those eyes), plus the cool rocker vibes and the criminally tiny waists. The people at Fortiche know what they are doing.

There were so many stoic characters in Arcane that it wouldn't have be true to the individual to 'talk it out'.
Being able to show their emotions in other ways was the only way to honour the authenticity of those characters.

As someone who started following your channel when it had fewer than a thousand subscribers, I believe that your channel will achieve some success in a short period of time because of your sincerity and incredibly likeable personality. To be honest, another reason is that Arcane Season 2 has just been released a few months ago, and many people are paying attention to it, so naturally, reaction channels focusing on Arcane are getting quite a lot of views.
However, I think your personal charm and talent will allow your channel to thrive in the long run. I can already picture the day you receive your TH-cam plaque-I’d be so happy to see that happen!
If you ask me what kind of channel I hope this will become, I’d love to see it as a space that remains friendly to the lesbian community. No matter what shows, animations, or games you decide to cover, or what kind of content you wanna make, I hope this channel can be a safe space. And as someone with a growing audiences and influences, I also hope you can use your platform to speak up for us.
Because apparently, at the Arcane Expo that Fortiche is currently hosting in France, there is no display featuring Caitlyn or Caitvi content. This is despite Caitlyn being one of the main characters in Arcane, having the most screen time after Vi and Jinx, and despite Caitvi being the show’s main couple. Even though Episode 8 of Season 2 was nominated at Annie Award for Best Storyboarding, they chose to exhibit storyboards of a straight couple’s love scene from Season 1 instead of Caitvi’s.
When asked by fans about the lack of Caitlyn content, a Fortiche representative on-site responded that they had to make a “choice.” We may never know the real reasons behind this “choice,” but the fact that they chose not to showcase a lesbian main character and not to include content of a lesbian couple, that is incredibly disheartening.
I feel like our voices are still not loud enough(or at all), and honestly, we as a community are not united enough.
10 years ago, when Korrasami held hands on-screen, queer TH-cam reactors cried. Now, Caitvi can be a main couple on-screen and even have their love scene-this is nothing short of a miracle, and it only happened because so many people fought for it. It took 10 years! I truly believe that if we come together and raise our voices, things will change for the better.
So I sincerely hope this will be a channel that cares about the lesbian community. I believe that’s why many people have suggested you watch more “girls kissing” content.
I watched this entire hour-and-a-half of lighthearted content, and I’ll continue to support your channel in the future. I’m also really looking forward to your Fleabag reactions! 52:00 I think Blue Eye Samurai suffered from the same issue a lot of other Netflix shows do, which was that they released the entire season in the same day. Usually when you have weekly releases, people tend to talk about each episode or batch of episodes while waiting for the next one, but when you release all at once the discussion just fades quickly and it's hard to gain traction.
Yep I really do think it doesn't help to release stuff all at once, binging is killing creativity for sure
When I first saw the rough sketch, I assumed Vi was pointing with her index finger, as if reprimanding Jinx. After looking closer, I couldn't tell if it was the index finger or middle finger. Would be fitting for Vi to put up her middle finger, given that we saw her do it a number of times during the show 🤣
After seeing the final drawing, I figure maybe she just has 4 fingers. I'm just going to pretend she's holding up the middle finger haha

But I’m also on the lookout for some smaller sets that would make for good room decoration, so might get some inspiration from you 😉

17:23 I think after Mel got together with Jayce she knew and saw how much Jayce cared for Caitlyn and saw her as his little sister and you could argue Mel saw Caitlyn as her own sister too. Nobody really talks about how all of the characters in Arcane are... just so damn lonely. Like they're respected or whatsover, but their backgrounds are either depressing or it's like they've never had anyone to back them up. Mel is very lonely too, her mother's like a stanger to her, maybe she connects with Cait through that feeling of loneliness too? She obviously cares about Caitlyn, cause otherwise she wouldn't mention her in that conversation when Jayce was taking care of Victor in that goo (😂 Sticky Vicky). Jayce was beyond tired there and Mel was comforting him but was also like "oh, and when you have the chance go talk to Cait, that poor girl is suffering" lol. And as for her getting out at the exact moment when Cait was about to get executed... idk, I'd like to think she was standing behind that door for a long time and just listened and prepared herself to use magic, maybe even battling her own thoughts "is it right to go against my mother"... but when she eavesdropped on what they're doing, that they're about to execute Cait. I think she prepared to help and created that shield right after Maddie took the shot.

I finally watch Fleabag, its been in my watching list but since you gonna react to it I gotta watch it first, its funny but sad at same time, I don't know how to explain it, maybe its british humor? Haha Anyway its only have two season, and every ep is 28 minute, I watched second season in one sit and its one of best show, really.
